PERSONALITY
Otto Octavius used to be a man who was intelligent and well respected. Raised by what his mother told him. Otto was naturally a mothers boy and reclusive because of what he believed from his mother. Depression hit Otto hard when not only did he denied marriage for his mother, but found her dating another man. Before the accident, Otto had built-in rage for humanity, he secretly believed what his mother told him, that he was better than everybody else. After the explosion accident, Otto's mind changed, not only did he gain powers, but he became extremely unbalanced on his thoughts and emotions. Otto actually believed that nobody was better than he was, to where he started to talk in third person. It wasn't the mechanical harness that made Otto a dangerous foe for Spider-Man, it was his goals. Even though Otto chooses petty thievery at times, most of his actions are impulsive and pure destructive, almost destroying cities and nearly killing the entire population of a city. As destructive as Otto can be, he has shown a kinder side to very few individuals, mostly towards Spider-Man's own Aunt May. But as nice and polite as he can be, Otto is a man that many other villains found not to be trusted. Devious and manipulative, Otto has secretly used many costume criminals to accomplish his destructive goals.

Mental connection
Its not known how Otto obtained his mental powers, either it was from the radiation explosion or a power that remained dormant until the radiation explosion. Otto gained the ability and power to mentally control certain mechanical and electrical devices. So far, Otto only controlled three types of metal type harnesses that mostly contain four mechanical arms. Its also not known if Otto doesn't know how to control any other devices or that he actually can't.
ABILITIES
Knowledge in Science and Nuclear Radiation
Otto has knowledge of the use and effects of radiation. Capable of handling, control, or engineering equipment that involves any use of radiation. Otto can simply operate or easily destroy any type of radiation power plant or transportation ship, causing a massive explosion. With a Ph. D, Otto also has knowledge of other science and medical.

Otto is well known for his mechanical arms invention. Capable of inventing and engineering, Otto has designed and created weapons, transportation, and equipment with an octopus theme added.
Customized Mechanical Arms
Otto's prime weapon and piece of equipment that he owns, is his mechanical harness that has four telescopic arms attached to it. The device is worn at waist level, lightweight and easy to control. For every mechanical arm, each one can extend at great lengths due to its telescopic design.
At the end of each arm, there are three pinchers, designed for grabbing and lifting. Every arm is controlled from a built-in device that is located at the center front of the harness. At first, the harness was designed for assistance when hazardous chemicals or any other sensitive products should be handled from a safe distance. After the explosion and during Otto's crime spree, he has used and turned his invention into more of a deadly weapon. With the arm's, Otto can lift vehicles, destroy buildings, move faster while traveling on all four arms, climb walls, deflect bullets, and even use them to fight. Over the years, Otto has designed and customized numerous mechanical arms, to where he wore an adamantium harness, a built in jet pack, and one with four extra mechanical arms added to the harness.
LIMITATIONS
Doctor Octopus's mental connection with his arms is strong enough to where if an mechanical arm was ripped off, it would feel like his real arm was ripped off.
