Ramisi was getting on the dark lion's nerves more than usual lately. She just couldn't seem to shut her beak! Aka'Ula had taken to hiding himself under a rather leafy tree while she was out hunting in hopes of having some peace and quiet for a little while. He sidled up to the tree as close as he could, trying to make himself as difficult to see as possible.
"That bird needs to learn when to be quiet." He grumbled to himself. This was so degrading, hiding from a bird who was supposed to be his 'bonded', what ever that meant... As far as he was concerned, he would be just fine without her now that he had found his way to the pride, but she insisted that he wouldn't be allowed to stay without her as a companion.
If that was true or not was something he might never know.
Ramisi was greatly amused by Aki's pathetic attempt at hiding from her. She chuckled to herself as she glided back toward where he had been, a dead rabbit hanging from her powerful talons, just in time to see him slip under the cover of the tree. How dumb did he think she was?
"Hey, furball, I can see you!" She squawked, laughing. "You're not getting away from me that easily, Aki!" She deliberately called him by his least favorite nickname, just to irritate him more. "But if you're going to be like that I might just keep this snack all to myself!" She teased, knowing that he was probably hungry at this time of day, before the hunters had come back with fresh food.
