My friends and I are cosplaying Chen, Ran, and Yukari for a convention next year.
We're hoping to make our cosplays soon, though. Considering that walking into a McDonalds cosplaying them (especially Ran xD) would be fun.
I'm not cosplaying Ran, I'm cosplaying Chen... but...~ My friend who's cosplaying Ran doesn't have a gaia account and I thought this might be the best place to ask. 3nodding
What would the best material be for Ran's tails? Should we stuff them, or...?

Well what I would do, is sew them out of a tough material, and fill them with cotton, and I would stick a wood board into each one. I guess I would attach all of the boards to some kind of harness. o: And put it over your back, under your costume. ( If I explained it badly, I can draw it out for you- I have it clear in my head. xD; )

I would say..
You should make them by stuffing them with a plushie. The tails should be of a fluffy material. When I say fluffy,think of like..a bunny plush toy. That sort of fluffy,not "Bath rug" fluffy.
You should then take the basic steps to make a plushie untill the part where their complete.
Leave a small hole open so you can put a Wire in there,and seal it off the best you can. After making 9 of these, Attach all the wires to a belt or something similar.(If you ahve to,attach some fabric to the belt so the tails wont fall off) Then, You have to cut a hole in the dress for the tails to come out. Slide the belt in,then lift your dress up from the front and attach the belt,then let it drop.
If done properly you should probably have the nine tails correctly,Just be warned,You probably wont be able to use that dress or belt for anything else.

I think. :3 What would the boards do, though? ^^; They would keep them up, because I highly doubt the material and cotton would be strong enough to hold on its own. >w<;
