Argentina became the first country in Latin America and the second in the Americas to allow same-sex marriage. It is the tenth country in the world to allow same-sex marriage.
It gives same-sex couples equal marriage rights, including the ability to adopt children.
It took about 15hs of debate, with an huge crowd standing outside the congress building in support, before thw law was approved.
