Although my band makes me want to tear my hair out sometimes, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I've done things here that I never would get the chance anywhere else. EG, today we got to wash a firetruck for our car wash fundraiser. A few years ago, we made $400 in a single night of gift-wrapping at Sears in the local mall. I've seen more bands than any other section of my marching band because of how pit set-up works, and I know the awesomest kids on the planet because I'm a percussionist.
I honestly don't consider band class an elective anymore, as soon as I figure out my schedule I'm like 'Okay, so my cores are AP English, AP math, physics, academic government, and band. What should I do for electives?'

My band is the best. while yes, some people in my band march to the beat of their own drm, and a few others think everyone marches to their drum, together we are awesome.
We have no director, and yet it is looking to be our best season. Our freshman rock. They are still in the process of actually understanding marching and very rarely move at attention, but all have their music memorized already and can best most of our seniors in a rilldown.

Like this semester I wanted to do gospel chorus, but realized it overlaps marching rehearsal by half an hour. Even though we're allowed to miss rehearsal for class conflicts, I decided I'd rather be marching pregame everyday than singing. So I guess I'm doing wind ensemble instead. xD

I loved my former band, and I stayed there for all of freshman year and up until last Wednesday I was there. but my parents moved me away!! It is horrible to me, I am staying in band for the music, but I miss my old group soooo much. I feel so different. I can't put my whole heart into this new group. I'm am still 100% dedicated to my old group and I will be forever. I don't know what I'm doing anymore and I feel sooo bad for putting both groups so far behind. It's the new groups first time doing field in ten years!!! I'M SO LOST!!!
