Journal Entry (will be relocated)

How do you keep a teleporting infant from laving the bathtub? It was a question neither Jadyn nor her oldest children had yet to figure out an answer to, and th empty bathtub sat before the dark elven woman and the naked, dripping baby appeared in his big sister Phoebe's lap down the hall. It would help if any of them knew how the boy teleported in the first place, or what triggered it, but it was seemingly completely at random.

Thus... lots and lots of interrupted bathtimes.

Phoebe entered the bathroom, carrying her brother in her arms, and dropped him gently into the tub with a giggle. "No, no, Kupo! We stay in the bath 'til we're finished, okay?" she said, immediately picking up the scrubbing where Jadyn had left off. The pinkette was so much better with the little ones than her mother was that it was almost frightening. Phobe picked up a rubber duck and squeaked it for Kupo, the infant grabbing the toy with a happy squeal once he noticed it.

There was almost five minute of uninterrupted scrubbing before the infant poofed again, this time to who-knew where within the bookstore. Phoebe and Jadyn both took off in opposite directions, spinning, twirling and skipping through the downstairs maze in an attempt to find the wayward baby. Surprisingly enough, it was Jadyn who found the little moogle first – on top of a bookshelf in a part of the shop he wasn’t even supposed to be able to get to!

The dark elf frowned and set about climbing the single shelf in the corner-like area, Kupo’s giggles and the squeaking duck-toy repeating every few seconds. Her son seemed to think “Find Kupo” was all a great game, and loved to watch everyone search for him and try to grab him.

”J-Ma! J-Ma! P’nut b’tt’r!” he chirped, squeaking the rubber duck as Jadyn reached the top of the shelf and scooped him up, noting with thanks that he hadn’t lt too much water to drip on the book housed there. Th dark elf rolled her eyes and grabbed the squirming baby, jumping down from the shelf with no sign that it bothered her.

“Come on, little monkey,” she said, rolling golden yes at the giggling baby. ”Back to the bath with you.” Kupo’s only response was to squeak the duck some more, and giggle furiously. He loved this game so much, even though his mommy didn’t seem to care for it... but what did that matter? IT was fun~!

And with another ‘poof’, the baby was off again on another mini-adventure.
