So I've been living with Amanda now for a week, and things have mostly been good. We really haven't seen each other much because we've been really busy with band but we've been getting along pretty well. Possible exception would be night before last (I made a thread about it in the main forum) where I was unhappy with her and her boyfriend but I talked to her and they both apologized.
But on the first day of camp, this girl Faith came up to me and was like "hey, I'm so glad you hit Corinne! Someone needed to do it!" and she gave me a high five. I was really confused because I've never hit Corinne but I just brushed it off as Faith being a dumb whore. I mentioned it to Amanda as a joke because it was kind of funny, and she was just like "oh really? haha, well that's Faith for you" and laughed it off like I did.
But at dinner, my friend Jason and I were talking about Amanda and I mentioned the rumor about me hitting Corinne and Jason paused and was like "wait...you didn't? Amanda told me you hit her and walked off one day. But she told me not to mention it to you or Corinne..."
So basically I realized that the suspicions I had a few weeks ago are true; Amanda has been lying to a bunch of people about a lot of things that don't even matter. When we started wondering about how long this has been going on, we realized that it really started after she started dating Trevor, her boyfriend.
This was mostly a rant but also I'd like to know if any of you have ever met someone like this.
I have no idea how to deal with this, though Jason and I want to talk to Corinne and Katerina and see if Amanda has been telling them things as well. I really want this to stop, but I feel like it will only stop when Amanda and Trevor break up. Regardless, I just want things to go back to the way they used to be, and I want a roommate I can trust.

Okay first off you need to tell her. Confront her. And if possible get a new roommate, you don't want drama following you wherever you go. neutral

Yeah, on Sunday I'm going to have dinner with a few friends and we're going to talk about what's been going on. We're going to confront her after that, and if nothing changes I'm going to switch roommates.
I'm kind of hesitant about moving out of my current room because I like it and it'll mean I'll have a roommate I don't know, but it may be the better choice. Idk, we'll just have to see how it goes.

So last night, Jason and I told Corinne and Katerina what has been going on. They were both shocked, but Corinne said that during last semester, she was really unhappy all the time because she felt like nobody wanted to be around her, though she didn't know that it was all because of Amanda.
We decided that we're all going to confront her tonight. We originally were going to wait until the weekend, but then last night, Amanda lied to me again.
We were supposed to have hall meetings last night, it's all pretty basic stuff but they're mandatory. But Amanda didn't show up to ours. I text her, asking her where she is and after like half an hour she tells me that she's at the hospital for her knee. So later I go to Corinne and Mesa's room and I mention that...and Katerina, who had been up there for a while is like AW HELL NO! because she had been talking to Jason, who told her that Amanda had been in his room with Trevor and Faith, playing Monopoly.
And then when Amanda got back, she told me that she and Trevor had dinner plans but when she went to the hospital he bailed on her to hang out with Faith. neutral She also took several shots at Corinne during that. neutral

Yeah, she's taken this way too far. We want to meet with her tonight. It'll be hard though, since we know she'll act like we're ganging up on her, then she'll start lying about us to other people in band.

Everyone who is involved with what she's been doing is incredibly pissed. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't know- the ones who don't are convinced that everything she's been saying is true. Also, it's really hard to completely cut ties- for the time being, I have to live with her, plus she's our drum major in band.
It seems even her boyfriend doesn't know, though. This morning, my boyfriend asked about her going to the hospital the other night, and he hadn't heard anything about it. And I know she's been lying directly to him with these rumors about Corinne. So yeah, none of the people who know are happy with her at all.
Also today she mentioned that another friend mentioned "hanging out" tonight (our intervention) and she was trying to find out if I knew Corinne was going because she didn't want to be "bitched at". :/

So we finally talked to her...I honestly don't know if it did anything. First she got mad that we were confronting her and making her talk about her problems, but then she started talking about how she doesn't feel Corinne respects her and makes her feel stupid. Also that all the lies were mis-communications.
But then she started to cry and told us that she has family problems right now (she told us her mom has told her that she doesn't love her on multiple occasions). When we told her that we're here for her to talk about them, she told us that they're her burdens, and hers alone.
Honestly...I don't feel like this had any effect on her at all. She got really defensive and angry any time she thought we were talking about her and her boyfriend and when she wasn't doing that or yelling at us (even Mesa, who is the nicest person ever), she was just sitting on her bed with her eyes closed. For a while, she was talking about how much she hates her boyfriend's friend...and I don't want to judge her relationship but it makes her boyfriend sound like a d**k.
I understand that she doesn't want to share her emotions with other people, but that's no excuse for any of this to happen. And she still denies that she was lying about these things; she said that she went to the hospital Sunday before playing Monopoly at Trevor's...but Josh asked Trevor if Amanda was okay this morning (considering how she was in the hospital Sunday) and he had no idea what Josh was talking about.
And I've been talking with Corinne; she says that she and Jason and Katerina all agree that Amanda made us feel sorry for her and then fed us bullshit. :/ This is just not a happy situation.
