Ultima felt he was stuck in a catch twenty two with no way out. He felt as though his power over the pack was slipping, it had always been shaky but now with another dominant alpha wolf in the pack he felt as though his decisions no longer mattered.. And that his authority was diminishing.
He needed a friend, someone to rely on not to blabber all of his secrets, worries and contemplations to the rest of the pack, someone he could trust… and there was only one wolf that came to mind.
Owa. One of the very few in his pack that Ultima truly respected and admired. Though the alpha would never admit it aloud. He valued Owa’s opinion and often felt like asking him before even his daughter. That was a bond that could only be wrought from fighting beside one another.
So this is what brought him wandering the creek side looking for his old companion in these troubled times.
