I've decided on a cover for my new book. It has the "2146" in big blue high tech ish font at the top and at the bottom in the same text but smaller it reads "The war through the eyes of the men and women who fought it."
In the center is a shot of a soldier standing at attention in full battle gear. I have pretty much all I need for the soldier except for one thing, the helmet. The helmet is a Mark VI Spartan Helmet from Halo. Yes I'm using a modified halo helmet. With this helmet however the visor and mouth guard are taken off so you can see the soldier's full face. {This is only for marines. Snipers, H.A.D.A.T. troops, (High Altitude Drop Attack Team) and Haz.Mat. helmets all have the mouth guard.}
I have a Helmet but I don't want to start cutting it apart without backup helmets. To get these back up helmets I need a Vacuum forming mold. I found a second website that shows how to do it DIY style but I wanted to see if I could find a real vacuum form mold so I don't ruin the master helmet.
If anyone knows a place, in the south eastern part of new mexico or FAR western Texas, that is willing to let some random teenager go and use their vacuum form mold for a wee bit please tell me. If you could I'd be GREATLY obliged, and by greatly I mean I might send you a finished helmet. If you want a copy of the book that is going to take quite a long time.
