-Sigh- Yesterday I had to decide whether to buy PS3's Deadspace or Bioshock. I asked on facebook. I asked my boyfriend who has played at least one of them. I asked people in the store. I even consulted a reputable online ps3 website. They all said the same thing: Bioshock. I only heard one bad review on deadspace from a friend. He said that it would have been a cooler game if it wasnt so easy, thus it was boring.
So in the end I chose Bioshock.
Good decision or bad decision?

I think they're both cool games. You might want to buy Deadspace later on, it's a good game. And can't you choose the difficulty? I've only seen them played on Xbox 360, on which you can choose the difficulty.
Did you get Bioshock I or II? I've tried the first one on my brother's Xbox, but ********... I hated the controls, so I quit playing after a few levels. D: Yes, I was playing on easy and with a bit of effort I would've managed, but I didn't have the patience. I'm too used to my Wii controls or Nintendo DS controls that I don't know how to play on an Xbox...
My brother also said the second one was better than the first, but I don't know if the second one has come out on PS3.

They both look like cool games, so, yes. I think it was a good decision.

Never played Deadspace, but the original Bioshock was an amazing game, so anything that ends with buying it is a good decision.

Once Nate and I started playing Halo and he leant me Half Life and Deus Ex, I got used to the controls and now find that I REALLY like the xbox controller. The second has come out on ps3, but I like to play games in order. Which is why when I get my ps3 back, I have to beat God of War before I play Bioshock. I like to complete things. Things must always be completed!!!!

I wish I was better at playing awesome games like abovementioned God of War, Bioshock, Halo, Half Life and the like. But no, I have to suck at that and thus have to resort to only watching others play awesome games. sad

TBQH, I would've gone with Dead Space.
Bioshock has an interesting story and the political/philosophical commentary is intriguing, but it's not that great to play. Laughably easy, for one. I hate the fact that there's no penalty for dying. And the plasmids are a nice touch, but once I got the upgraded shotgun and crossbow, there was no point. And Big Daddies were complete pushovers if you used the electric gel ammo for the chemical thrower. And controls were clunky and awkward compared to refined FPSes like Halo 3 or MW.
Dead Space, OTOH, is a barrel of fun thanks to the unique dismemberment combat system and the creative, improvised weaponry. Great setting and gorgeous visuals too. Fairly challenging too.
Also, heart you for mentioning Deus Ex.

Also, heart you for mentioning Deus Ex. I have a feeling that Deadspace will be more up my alley. But I heard from a friend that it was ridiculously easy and everyone i talked to said that I should go with Bioshock. Deadspace WILL be the next game I get, for certain. I'm glad you gave me a good reccomendation on it. I'm actually playing Invisible War, but I find it to be kind of like warcraft. Where you do quests/errands for people and side with factions. Since I am rather bored of Warcraft there are aspects of Deus Ex that I am finding annoying. I need to come back to it after I have a few difefrent games completed. Nate and I went to a used record store and they were selling old xbox games and he found Chronicles of Riddick. Before ya'll pass judgement---Because gaming rule number one...NEVER play games based off of movies--- Its actually really fun so far. The first thing the game has you do is break someones neck, haha, if that doesnt prepare you for the game, nothing will.
