Yjeva sat atop a rock, looking out onto the sea and letting the salty air ruffle her fur. She kinda liked it here - when she looked from this high along the sane, she could almost imagine she was the only one around for miles. It was a comforting thought.
It wasn't that she hated her family, she did love them, she guessed. Kinda, sorta. You had to love family, right? But, seriously, they were always there and in her face. She liked time to herself to think, to see, and to look over her collection. She looked side to side as she thought of that last thing again - almost worried that someone would hear her thoughts and come looking for her stash. She wouldn't let them have any of her stuff. It was hers, and no she would not share, thank you very much!
Suddenly, though, the sound of footprints made her heart jump into her throat. She checked that her precious items were covered and moved towards the sound, wondering if one of her brothers or sisters had followed her...

Her family was up to something, but then again they were always doing something and it’s not that they ticked her off she just couldn’t stand… anyone it seems. Going around in their pack seemed to make Jani realize that she’d never be what she wanted to be, that everyone would always be different and her only escape goat had been struck by lightning… She was alone, forever.
Shaking off that dreadful feeling Jani’s gazed locked with her pale sisters form, she had been doing something as of late… Something not like anyone else of their pacxk and that had to stop in Jani’s eyes, something had to be the same; they were all the same age so they should be doing all the same things right?
Hunting after the pale female sister Jani let loose a growl creeping up on her sister thinking to attack the unknowing wolf, but to Jani’s disappointment she noticed her sister turn in her direction. Her growling increased and she stepped out of the bushes, “What do you think you’re doing?”

She really couldn't catch a break, could she? What did she have to do to get five gods-be-damned minutes alone around here. Oh, even better, she was being snarled at for nothing? Great. Super. Yjeva just loved her family.
With an audible sigh, she glared at her sister. Kona? No, Jani. So special just 'cos they looked alike. Well, she was glad she didn't have a look-alike, how much harder would it be to get away then?
"What do you want?" she griped back "and I think I'm trying to get away from your face, seems like it didn't work" she growled, childishly angry at the intrusion.

Jani’s growling increased at her sister’s back talk; this one was horrid she seem to only care for herself which worked in Jani’s opinion. Wanting to pounce on the small pup Jani had to hold herself break by thinking of the small amounts of things she had in common with her family… Things that were always the same.
The sky was always blue; the grass was always green… She would always hate her family.
“You need to stop this oddity Yjeva.” Her growling never lessened as Jani inched closer to her sibling, what was she going to do if she snapped one day? Attack her family? ‘If it’s needed…’

"What oddity? What are you talking about? And hell, who says you're the boss of me, anyway?" Yjeva added, wrinkling her nose up in distaste. Jeez, if it wasn't bad enough that they didn't leave her alone, now they were bossing her around?
She rolled her eyes at her sister, wondering if having hair meant she had less brains underneath or something. It was her who was odd, Yjeva thought, backing up a bit against the large boulder. Hell, she looked like mom - maybe pink and actin' weird went together. At least I look like Dad, she thought to herself.

Inching forward Jani’s anger rose with the intents feeling of need to control everything, anything! Her growling was the only thing Jani could focus on, its rumbling melody, and its soothing heated rage fueling her need… Her hunger! “Stop being so different!” Jani barked.
She could feel her body twitch to lung, to attack. Why would she want to attack? Yjeva was her sibling, her blood… at the very thought Jani could feel her own blood burn within her veins, so disgusting to be related to such a horrid pup.

"The hell is wrong with you?" Yjeva's tone was alightly worried now. Jeez, her sister really was crazy. If she didn't have the markings on her wrist, so distinctively like her Dad's, she'd begin to think she was adopted. Unlike half her sibling, she was sane, sensible, even - she just didn't want to share everything with them. That was reasonable right?
"What do you mean different? You want me to be as crazy as you - growling at your sister for no reason?" she was beginning to get a little scared - she had no idea what was wrong with Jani and why she was so angry at her.

Jani let out a dry laugh at her sister’s words, this white pup could never be like her, she looked only slightly like their father but it wasn’t enough to calm Jani. “Ha! You could even be me.” Another dry laugh escaped the insane pup’s mouth as a leaf blew by grabbing her attention for a spilt moment.
Suddenly Jani was on the leaf attacking it, biting it, eating it ripping it to pieces it wasn’t enough! Everything was always changing things weren’t happening as she wanted her siblings were different; unique she needed her twin back! At the thought of her twin Jani’s heart calmed, a mirror image so wonderfully detailed even Jani was fooled sometimes…
But no longer, she was burnt, struck by lightning a few nights ago and now she was covered in disgusting markings. Nothing was the same anymore! Jani’s heart picked up and she looked back to her sibling, “Tell no one of this.” It was a demand, a growl as if she didn’t need to say the ‘Or else’ for her sister to understand. And if her sister had any smarts she would understand completely and not tell anyone.

Yjeva was beginning to realise just how much her sister wasn't all there. Man, she had to get away from them all - when she was old enough to hunt, she could go explore in places where there were no mad siblings, no random attacks and, perhaps, more things she could have to herself.
"Sure, sure whatever you say I won't say anything?" who the hell would she tell? Her whole family was cuckoo... With an apprehensive look at Jani, she backed off a little more and wondered whether she should head back to the den for now, even if it was just to sit with gramma or dad for a while.

Nodding Jani’s head snapped around, she had to relax things weren’t working out like she had hoped it was horrible now. Her life wasn’t worth this everyday she had to either stop the change or stop herself… And she didn’t want to stop herself but she knew of a certain way they might work.
Glancing back at her sibling she knew of a certain way that might work… Growling Jani pined Yjeva’s markings, she was so white and pale she didn’t look like anyone enough to calm Jani. In Jani’s head she needed a mirror image of everything, of something to make sure that things stayed calm.
Suddenly Jani felt the need to attack, to do something to make Yjeva look anything but what she looked like! Pushing her back paws into the ground Jani jumped forward at her sibling.

Yjeva twisted, scrambling to get out of the way as her sister launched towards her, snarling. The hell was wrong with this family? She only thought this, though, as she hadn't breath to spare, trying to get out of the way of the furious bundle of fur which was now almost upon her.
With a yelp, she scrambled against the loose, sandy ground and attempted to make her way behind the nearest rock, using it as a shield. Damn her if she was going to lay a paw on Yjeva's beautiful white, puppy-soft pelt. Yjeva was not lacking in pride for her appearance - even if her sister considered its lack of likeness appalling - and didn't want to have it marred by Yani's mad scrabbles against her.

Jani growled as she watched her sister scramble away behind a rock, ‘Such a weak disgusting… white… pale wolf!’ Her thoughts were starting to consume her; nothing of Jani would be left if she couldn’t calm down. At such a young age Jani’s young brain didn’t know of a way to stop such horrid thoughts and needs.
Inching forward Jani then the sun glisten against her teeth, she would be using them soon for her first hunt. Or so she thought she would, but little did Jani know that since Jani was so young and so un prepared for the chemical imbalances going on in the young ones head, her little brain would do it’s very best to knock the poor girl out.
As Jani inched closer and closer her body rushing with fresh blood and the need to hunt was over whelming and finally too much for the small body to handle, the pound of fur plopped to the ground her mind shutting down her body, like someone had just hit a restart button. In a time of distress the mind can take over, doing what it needs to d to survive in whatever condition.

"You're mostly white yourself, idiot" she muttered, dancing back again, away from the slowly advancing ball of hatred. Sometimes she really couldn't keep her mouth shut when she should. She was confused and she couldn't, in any way, understand what her sister was going through.
When her sister fell to the ground, Yjeva wondered if it was some sort of trick. She paced back further for a few moments, awaiting a leaping pounce... but it never came. Inching forward, her breathing still harsh from the upset the fight had given her, and with muscles taut so as to be ready to flee again, she approached her prone sister and reached out a paw to poke her.
Much as she wanted to be anywhere but here and wasn't exactly fond of her sister... she was family and she couldn't just abandon her on the beach if something was wrong.

The poke was enough to kick start her brain into waking her up. Her eyes snapped open and glanced around, at least her heart rate was through the roof this time. Slowly Jani took in air her body calm her thoughts turning over what just happen, would she have attacked her sibling? The frightening truth surprisingly didn't scare the young pup though, she knew deep down she would destory any one who was in the way.... But in the way of what was the real question.
Looking to her sister Jani's gaze didn't waver as she slowly got to her feet, would she always be like this? Even at such a young age the pup was worried for the future, would she forever wish to destory those around her that didn't conform to her standards? What WERE her standards? She was so young she shouldn't have any yet, the thought disappeared on that note leaving Jani empty to be consumed yet again by her own craziness.
Her standards were of perfection, orangaztion... Things that didn't change must stay the same forever. She could do it too, even before her Jani was plotting a way to make her sister understand the way of conformity. Were any more words needed to approach her sister for the rest of the day? No, with a look of disgust on her face Jani turned and headed back to her brother she would need his earlier suggestion.

Yjeva let out a huffing sigh as Jani left, feeling as though she'd just been tossed about by the winds of fate. Something was very wrong with her sister... Yes, very very wrong. What could she do about it, though? She was only one pup and even if she told father...
Yjeva sighed. It'd be her word against Jani's and she just didn't want to deal with the fall-out which might occur. Jani might come after her again for a start. Seeking comfort in what she knew, the little white and fawn pup moved to her stash again, checking it carefully and covering it again before heading off.
It wasn't to the den she was going, though. She wanted to clear her little head of all of the problem she had to deal with far too early in life. No, she would go a nice long walk along the beach...
