For me, Maji/Cord is my favourite character, sure Barts/Barst can totally wreck him gameplay-wise, but for some reason, I've always been interested in him, his character portrait in the DS version is magnificent, he'd be the Lotte of Blazing Sword and he has a twin brother, AW YEAH! So, who are your favourites who are hated?

Not Kamina Gilliam from SS. People seem to hate him for some reason. sad Really? I quite enjoy him, not only is he a tank, he also shares the role as the "Doga character" who was one of my favourite tank/characters back in the day. <3

Priscilla (FE7). People hate her personality, although they do admit she's a beastly unit. I love her all the way around, though... I generally love Troubadours. Except L'arachel.
Lachesis (FE4). Little on the obnoxious side as far as raising her from where she starts, but come on, MASTER KNIGHT. <3
Norne (SD). I actually screwed her up more than what she usually ends up as, because I let her go more than 10 levels as a healer (which she wasn't particularly good at anyway...), and then I had her as a Peg Knight for a while... she was on my endgame team, regardless, as a sniper, but she couldn't do more than 2-3 damage total. |D
Any and all Peg. Riders/Knights, except the one from Blazing Sword that's married to that one older paladin guy (can't remember her name, actually I don't think I ever recruited her?... Juno/Yuno/something?). My favorite Peg. Rider of all time though, is definitely Est.

Got to agree with Lyre on Lachesis. Master Knight is just THAT fabulous. I didn't know many people didn't care for her, though. It seemed to me like she had a lot going for her between being more mobile than Aideen, sticking around after Ethlin, practically never having to worry about gold thanks to free Thief Sword, getting the Earth Sword, providing valuable Charisma support, etc...
Florina/Vanessa/Tanith. Plenty of people see Florina as extremely frail and think she has s**t for attack (which is untrue - she has a 40% Str growth), but I consider the best of the three pegs all things considered. Vanessa usually gets shafted by people in favor of Tana, but I prefer her for her excellent support options (+5 Str, Def, & Avoid is HOT), and Tanith has people who hate her for being a Prepromote. But she's one of my favorite Tellius units of all time, and her growths are extremely similar to Marcia's in FE9 (and placed better in FE10, IMO). Plus she has an Earth Affinity ;D
Moulder. He's not super attractive and he's middle aged. So people like Natasha better from what I've seen. But he comes at a higher level earlier in the game. That alone is a big advantage for a healer. Not to mention he takes hits like a melee unit with his impressive Defense growth.
Calill. She's my b***h~ But how many people regularly uses her? Everyone's in love with Soren (myself included, granted) and so Calill gets virtually no love. But Calill is just so much more fabulous. I very frequently take her to RD Endgame with Rexflame (SS Fire users are the ONLY magic users in RD who can break the 34 speed needed to double spirits thanks to the +3 boost)
Echidna. Most underrated FE6 prepromote EVER. People are always bitching about how axe users never have enough skill to hit consistently. Echidna doesn't have that problem. Plus, she's the only female Hero. How awesome is that?
Lott/Bartre/Garcia. People often hate axe users not named Hector in general it seems. ESPECIALLY Fighters (the Tellius games somewhat changed that, though). But I'm quite fond of these three for the GBA installments.

For some reason, people (at least the ones I talk to), don't like the Archer- Snipers.
I love Louise and Wolt in particular.
Louise for an auto-A support with Pent, good enough for what I use her for (to take down Wyverns and such), and also, decent B-supporting options (it's especially worth it to support with Hawkeye.)
Wolt, for his defensive boots that his affinity gives Roy. Not only that, but the fact that he comes as the earliest archer in the game, and is thus much easier to train and get to a good level (with decent speed, might I add) than your other options. I don't like Dorothy's growths at all, but that's just me.

I love high-Avoid units; hence why Florina, Serra, and Rebecca are my favorite units from FE7. And yet, I hear the majority of the fanbase despises one (or all) of the aforementioned. I would rather avoid damage than take it, always.
Lachesis and Leaf were two characters I never had a problem raising, and I loved their promotions. Hell yeah, Master Knight.
I hear that the fanbase generally disliked Fury, keeping her around only for her children. I didn't mind her stats at all, and found her to be fairly reliable through my run-throughs.
Oh. Right. Possibly the most traitorous thing I'll say in the history of Fire Emblem.
I liked Lyn.
There, now it's out in the open. :3

Pelleas. Alot of people don't use him because of his level. His growths are ok. His speed growth is 60% A lot of the magic users don't have it that high. 30% Defence growth does help him. BTW he's 1 of 2 dark magic users in the game. The other one is only available for Endgame part 5 and requires a few things to get done to get him. If you really want to use that SS dark tome Pelleas is your best bet.

From FE11: I like Norne a lot. I prefer her over Gordin, and I don't really know or care why. And most people tend to use Navarre instantly, but I've always passed him up for Radd, who has been extremely good for me.
FE4: AZEL. I <3 Azel so much. He's my favorite unit, hands-down, and AS MUCH AS KURAI AND LYRE MAY OTHERWISE, HE IS AWESOME TO PAIR WITH TILTYU. I also enjoy Sylvia. Maybe it's because she's just so... spontaneous and outgoing for a Dancer, but I do enjoy using her. And until I test otherwise, her kids are better than the generics. :|
FE7: Like Kurai, I also liked Lyn. She is consistently good to me, and is... well, she's how a Female Protagonist SHOULD be, as opposed to being Micaiah. I also always, always use Rebecca, regardless of who thinks Wil is better.
FE10: Meg. That's right, fat little Meg. Probably my favorite unit in that game, period. Her growths are about the opposite of what one would expect for an Armor, and to top it off, her Armor-y stats (Str, Def) aren't by any means bad. And with BEXP around to help buffer stats that aren't quite as high, she has the potential to turn beastly. Plus, how often do you see a child on the battlefield that's not a mage? Meg has some guts to brave entire countries (Crimea and then Daein, not to mention the desert) by herself before running into Micaiah and her group. And she uses Swords. And has Armor. She's like a Myrmidon with Defense.

Well, I've only played FE8 and FE9 (bought FE10, haven't started it yet), so my list is pretty puny. Also, I tend to go more by personality than stat growth. I'm one of those story>game mechanics people.
But my top unit that people hate on is Knoll from FE8. Not only is he wonderfully tragic (I tend to love tragic characters in FE games), but he's also really useful as a summoner. Sure, his base luck is zero and his speed isn't great, but then again, you can't throw your other magic users out into the fray willy-nilly (unless you use them as meatshields).
Sorry, that was a crap explanation.
I thought it was blashphemous to hate pegasus knights in FE. I like Tanith too, but I just hate peg. knights as a unit. They don't work with my strategy. If I do use them, they're usually only for rescuing.

I agree about Knoll. I like him because I like dark magic, and a summoner is always fun to have around. I just like using him, even though bishops are ten times more useful.
I like using Rebecca in FE7 as well. I think she has good enough dodge to make up for any mistakes and the close-combat handicap.
On that note, I also use Rolf in FE9 and 10. He has just served me very well. Especially in FE9, it takes him a while to get good, but I think he's worth it.

Lyn is a good character. I have absolutely no idea why people have this idea that she sucks.
I also like Rebecca and Serra because they just own if you take the time to level them up. I also like to use Sophia even though she has HORRIBLE hit accuracy...

Kebin13 Knoll biggrin he is crazy stong Shinon! (this is against all the people who hate archers ) and ya razz thats it Oh, gosh. Knoll... confused Well... I mean... He was okay... If you didn't like any of the other mages... And didn't like Ewan, because I consider him a beastly Druid... But, you know, whatever... Phith Leico FE10: Meg. She's like a Myrmidon with Defense. I know! I loved Meg, too! I mean, she's a character you need to work up, but it's her late-game stats that are supermegafantasticawesome. Even if she is fat.
