The smells of a homecooked meal being cooked just a few steps away gave Cera hope. She still was a little wary to call this family her family, but ever so slowly, she was coming around.
Now, if only she didn't have to share a room. With a toddler! When she asked Moose about Aile all she did was shrug and say 'good luck' because, like Cera, she didn't know much about her herself. She felt like she was up a creek without a paddle.
Still....Cera fluffed up the pillows on her twin bed, smoothing out the crisp, new sheets before grabbing her clothing bag and heading for the closet.

She didn't like this. Why did she have to share a room with some strange teenager? She was perfectly content to share Sabra's room with her. But then Sabra and Moose had finished remodeling the old den into a perfectly usable bedroom for her and Cera.
Still pouting Aile clutched the sun shaped nightlight to her chest and peeked into the room. Not one for words she walked around the teen and towards where her twin bed rested against the other wall.
Jumping onto it she began to search for an outlet. Sabra had said that there was one here....oh! There it was. Quietly bending down the toddler plugged in the night light and even gave a faint smile as she flipped the switch and saw it turn on.

Cera smoothed out the wrinkles in her latest creation, a green polka dotted dress with a pink striped cardigan. While some thought it looked ugly combined that way, she couldn't imagine anything more beautiful.
Her large tail swung around her legs as she moved back to her bed. Cera stopped and watched Aile plug in a nightlight with a little frown on her face. "Are you...Aile, are you afraid of the dark?"
She wasn't when she was a child, but then, she'd been a bit odd. Not many children wanted to keep the Boogieman as their own personal pet.

Turning off the nightlight Aile pulled herself back up on the bed. Her smile soon dissolved into a frown as she looked over at Cera. "Not afraid!" She protested while pounding her pillow into shape, "I jus dun like it."
Finished with that she went over and drug her own clothes bags from the hallway and went to her dresser. Pulling open one drawer the toddler began to pack away the folded clothes. Nothing dressy, just shirts and pants. Though Sabra did manage to get her a couple of dresses, but they were still hanging in her closet.

Cera's hand fluttered up to her chest reflexively, and only after a minute did she realize that she was cautious of a toddler. Roman really was traumatizing, wasn't he? "Really? I think it's fun."
She couldn't help, but to walk over and start helping her little 'sister' pack away her things. "You know, you could wear this dress ontop of these pants and with a little belt, I'm sure you look really cute."

"Stupeed." Aile shook her head at the older girl. How was the dark fun? Ugh. It did nothing but give her headaches. "Too troublesum." Replied the toddler with a frown. Dresses only tore after all and got in her way. How could she pound on Ro with something like that on? She never did understand the purpose of such things.

Cera frowned, what little hope she had of an instant connection deflating. What was wrong with her? Weren't toddlers supposed to be nice and cute and adorable and snuggly? So far she'd been proven wrong; on three accounts.
Then she got creative. "Maybe, but you know what I think?" She got down on her knees, holding it up for Aile to see. "I think if you made a design on the back in glow paint you could light up the dark and make Kieran jealous."

Aile just blinked at Cera before shrugging. "If you want to do it." She replied finally before shoving the last drawer closed. Her gaze went back between the bed and the closet before the toddler sighed. Not saying a word she headed out of the room and dissappeared down the hallway. Several minutes later she returned to the room and threw down a dress. "There." With that she turned around and started to fiddle with making her bed.

Cera chewed on her bottom lip and scooped up the dress before walking out of the room. It wasn't hard to find glow in the dark paint, considering who her sisters were, so it didn't take her long to make her way back to her bedroom. She was really hoping that Aile was going to like it, but she was terrified to death that the toddler wouldn't approve.
Holding the dress up, she flipped it to the backside where a set of wings were drawn in bright green paint. "Do you...do you want to try it out?" She ventured warily.

By the time Cera had returned Aile was sitting on her bed with a picture book. With a sigh the toddler put down the already upside down book and looked up at her 'sister'. "I guess." Though her eyes did look over the backside appreciatively. Wings were nice.
Slipping from the bed Aile took hold of the dress and slipped it on over her clothes. "Happy?" She asked the older girl with what appeared to be a faint grin. Though very faint and quickly replaced with the normal frown.

Cera saw the grin and was halfway to smiling that sparkling smile of her's when Aile's disappeared. She stopped somewhere between a grin and a frown. "Yes, thank you." She almost whispered and turned around to straighten up her bed.
Even though she wasn't sure where she stood with the toddler just yet, she suspected that she'd just found normality with Aile. And hoped it would only go uphill from here.
