selkie_chick Alchemic Kraehe I have a list of things...
- The guy who marches behind me (bass 5) : he crushes his sixteenths and diddles, is constantly talking and moving, and just doesn't take band seriously.
- One of the guys that plays tenors. I knew him last year, and he's really full of it. He basically thinks he's better because he plays tenors.
- People who can't guide. It's NOT THAT HARD.
- Newbies (from any grade) that think they know everything, mostly the sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They think that because they're older, they know everything. =/
Makes me mad, man. D:< i know exactly how you feel, our last tennor play was sooo full of it & unfortunately a lot girls thought he was hot, but he's an idiot & dropped out &he only had senior year left Haha, you can tell who the weakest link is when someone quits right before senior year.

Everything seemed awesome in concert band.... being a Senior, 1st chair.... until it comes to semester, and a few lower band class members get to move up. There is one especially... he won't shut up, he touches and punches the girl next to me (Never heard her talk in my life) and he says the most obvious things and thinks he is funny. Oh why oh why did he have to be in MY section...? Sectionals were fun, but not anymore.

I hate it when some people in marching band don't at least TRY to put an effort into the routine, and just act like they don't care about anything. Then, when the word "band trip" pops up, that's when they wanna actually do something. =l

Wow, okay.
In high school I march two years trumpet, two years base drum. I hate it when people don't know where there going so I would blare my trumpet. Base drum it totally different because people don't wanna get run over.
I still hate people who don't know how to march and won't ask for help. That ticks me off because they aren't trying to get better.

Ugh I hate those people. Theres this one girl who always talks really loud and is never at attenion. And then she is always being a real ahole. Like one time she came up to get in line and she was standing right next o me. She looked at me and said to the other tubas "I really wish people wouldn'tstop while runnig on field." towards me. Because she always runs behindme onto he field and my spot is closer then hers(she was suppsoed to be aheadof me but she would run way too slow and neither of us would make it in tiem) Well I grumbled "then run faster" and she got all ticked off.

Well not really everybody in our band is great at paying attention when it coems to the time, but next years marching band i think is going to bother me since we'll be getting two girls in my section that stink at playing and don't pay attention what's so ever.

As far as my band goes my peeves were: Trumpet players that think they're prime, colorguard chicks that complain all the time about their instructors when the source of their problems is that they think they're too good to listen to directions, and people who put their drink containers on PIT instruments. It's an instrument, not a $5000 table. (I was in the PIT this year in case you didn't already notice haha)

I feel you man, this past year i played tenors and was over the pit. ppl just don't understand what a lil water does to a zilo. My problem is that the dancers think since they don't do anything inside, it means they can sit in the back of the band hall and talk while the director is trying to tell us something. that burns me up more than anything cuz then he thinks its us the drumline.

I was an alternate my first year, and since it hasn't gotten to my second year yet I really shouldn't be saying much, but there were some kids who were alternates who would just goof off everyday. They wouldn't be paying attention, getting out of their sets to screw around with someone else while out director was giving directions, and pretty much not trying like the rest of us were. It was so much worse when it was near the end of the season and our director told us to just sit at the back side line. They were running around, talking and laughing so loud I bet everyone could hear them. Me and probably two or three other alternates just stood in a circle away from them so we wouldn't be blamed either. Even during the run through at the end of practice they were f**king around! Three people were doing there sets on the side line, and two were even moving around to there sets and being a complete distraction. My 'group' was just standing still like we were supposed to... Im sorry, but with over six months of dealing with that crap, I wanted to kill them or at least give them a good beat down.

Things that annoy me and that I hate:
-When freshmen get an attitude. Hello! I'm your section leader for a reason. I know what I'm talking about. If I'm telling you to do something, you do it and you do it right. Don't back sass me!
-People who can't lead. Who doesn't get annoyed by this? Honestly, it's not that hard. Just open your eyes and watch out for the people around you! It's a team effort, guys. TEAM effort.
-The pit. They're so freaking lazy. And while the rest of us are dying of heat stroke, they sit under their instruments in the nice shade and drink their ice cold water in front of us. Not to mention that during the summer, they'd practice inside while the rest of us busted our butts outside. Spoiled princesses.
-The lead synth player. Besides the fact that she's a total fxcking whxre, she can't keep the beat to save her life. Our BD would get after us for not being able to stay together during the opener when all the while it was because she couldn't keep a freaking eye on the DM. And it's not like it would be hard for her since she's a freaking whxre anyway and is RIGHT IN FRONT of the damn DM. D< I hate her with a passion.
