So... I leave for college Tuesday. I have mixed feelings about that.
Happy, sad, excited, nervous.. leaving home, getting a roommate, paying myself, meeting new people...
And my older brother's going to the same college as me...but I'm not so sure that's even kind of a good thing sometimes lol.
But before i get into a rant about my leaving for school, anybody else having any thoughts or opinions about going back/off to school? (high school, college, grad school, work, etc. biggrin )

I think your brother being there will be good. I'm sure the school is big enough you won't bump into him much but at least you know he's close if you ever need him.
I'm so done with school lol. I've been in college for... well this is my fifth year not counting the year I took to redo some high school course in between colleges. So I'm anxious to start my career and tired of being a poor student lol.
I'm not that anxious for school to start cause my summer job is pretty kick a**. So it was like being on vacation all summer and now school every day of the week and have to find a winter job.

I'm done with school, unless some employer in the future wants to pay for me to up my degree. I have an Associate's in grpahic design, and I think my career's going pretty well with it. It's funny, because I'm an honor-roll-type person really into learning and getting great grades, yet I turned out to only get a 2-year degree. =P Sometimes I worry about it, but the way the economy is, I literally got my job right before things started turning bad. Had I gotten my full bachelor's, I'd have graduated right in the middle of the recession. Considering where I graduated just now started offering a 4-year degree, I would have gone to a different college and would not have the job I have now.
However, having a job means getting up early way more consistently than I did in college, where classes are at different hours. I'd like to not have to get up at 6:30 every weekday. =

eh...my brother has his ups and downs... he over exaggerates, and loves to party, and his friends are idiots.. but he knows more about campus than i do.
anyway, sounds like everyone got lucky with jobs, which is encouraging because i need one lol. Getting a good job right before things getting bad is just awesome timing. And having a job you like is also awesome. But i have to agree, it does suck to get up early every day of the week. Something I'll LOVE about college this year, is that my earliest class on M-W-F is 11:45a blaugh (tues & thurs 9:30a)
But then again i have fairly difficult classes...
lol i can understand that too... I'm just starting college and I'm already tired of being a poor college kid xp

I'm not heading back yet crying Hopefully in the spring. I was a social sciences major, almost done w/ my associates. Then my plan was to pursue a masters in Social Work. I had some health issues & ended up needing multiple surgeries, So I ended up not re-enrolling & also losing my job gonk But my last surgery as a success so things are looking up. When I get my strength back I can start looking for a job & sign back up for classes smile
