User ImageCool twilight was slowly giving way to dawn, the deep, soft hues of blues and purples gradually lightening to what the rest of the world saw when it awoke. A gentle breeze sighed as it swept along, rustling tree leaves and bringing in the salty scent of ocean water from beyond sight. The silhouette of the port city was just visible, sounds of early risers and workers drifting along as though to announce to the world that it was ready for whatever would come its way. It was an utterly peaceful morning, warm and surprisingly dry for being so near the sea.

A lone, pale figure was making its way from the coast, going around the walled city and looking up at the sky to watch the last of the stars fade. A smile spread across Rhea's face as she brushed the sand off her arms and legs, her damp blond hair sticking to her skin and her bangles singing softly as they danced. The Twilif carried a small oiled tarp, wrapped and tied to serve as a waterproof sack for the treasures she'd acquired on a swimming excursion earlier in the morning.

Her thoughts wandered to the road ahead and what would await her when she returned home, her smile growing and softening simultaneously at the idea of home. It was nice a quiet, but sometimes she needed the hustle of society, too, though that had been satiated the past day or so. Now all she had to do was decide which of her discoveries were going to be kept for herself and what to do with the rest. Not that Rhea normally kept much; she had a very strict rule when it came to self indulgence, nevermind that there would never be enough space for it all, even if she did.

The smells coming from the city were myriad of the good, the bad and the ugly, peppered with the scent of food, reminding Rhea of the long night and even longer journey ahead. Perhaps stopping now would prove to be a better idea than just going straight home. Her stomach certainly seemed to think so.

Can't hurt, can it?” she mused, adjusting her sarong to hide some of her bangles. She wore less than her usual assortment, but saw no need to invite sticky fingers to get too close.

Of course, after entertaining the city, the next thing was going to be deciding where to go. Rhea kept to herself as she wove through the streets, considering her options as they came and doing her best to stay out of everyone's way.
