I'd love to say that I don't fear death, but every human does to a certain extent. As others have mentioned, dying painfully would be awful. Though for that, I suppose it's more my fear of pain than fear of not existing anymore.

I don't derive comfort from the thought of an afterlife. I'd prefer oblivion. Don't you think angels get bored singing all day? xd

Personally, I don't believe I have a soul. I'll hate to leave this life, but there's no evidence that my consciousness will continue after my brain shuts down, so that regret probably won't ever happen.

Do you fear death?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I can't really decide but I don't think of the death as a bad moment. Most of the people fear death and I can understand that. You don't really know what's gonna happen to you. What's waiting on the other side. And I think that people fear that what they don't really know.
Sometimes I fear it, sometimes not.

Why?

Sometimes I think that death... well, it's hard to describe. I fear the early death. When I have to go and didn't have the chance to really live my life. Meet all the people I actually would've met. You're dying with the thought that you didn't really see something of the world. And that's just cruel to me. But you can't do anything about it.
But sometimes I don't fear death because I believe that we aren't really dying.

What happens to us when we die?

I don't really know it. But I believe that we'll be reborn. Your body's dead but never your soul. And your soul's collecting experiences. It's only bad if your soul gets lost. These are the ghosts in this world. The ones who can't find peace or the right way.
If the soul collected enough experiences it goes to "Heaven".

I don't fear death, why should I? Death isn't the end of the track. I believe that when we die out physical body 'dies' but our soul then is judged by god. If we have been good, taken regret of out bad actions and fought for a better world the soul will go to heaven. If we have been corrupt, not taken regret on our bad actions and have never done anything good it will go to hell, althought the sould could also get lost and become a "ghost" or be reborn after a period of time.

well, i think we're all afraid of dying. a lot of people say that they're not but that's not true. i go around saying "if i were to die, i wouldn't mind." but honestly, to a certain extent, i do mind. i don't question what would happen to me after death.. but i am a little scared. i'm scared for my family and friends. i wouldn't want to put them in pain because of me. you know?

Does the the fact that one day, I'll be long gone, rotting in the ground, and insignificant in everyway disturb me to point? Yes.

Do I live life going "OMG HOLY ***** ****** IM GONNA B DEAD AND GONA BE GONE OMG IM SO SCARED!"? No.

Do with that what you may.

I fear being forgotten more than dying.

Even as a child, I've always been afraid of dying. I try to replace that with a strong will to live and thrive within my own society and also get the most out of life in general.

I realized that I couldn't know about death when I was younger, but I denied that in my head and started believing in reincarnation in order to soothe my fears.

It's either I be honest with myself and face it or hide behind a belief. I hate lying to myself, so I'd rather be honest about it. Still afraid, but at least it's the realest thing that will happen in my life.
