((This will be prettier eventually...))

Subject Name: Clyde Dredge
DOB: Unknown
Mental Issues:
~ Spirophobia (Fear of breathing) or more specifically, a fear of breathing anything that could cause him inner harm.
~ Mood Swings: Can turn from happy to homicidally raging at the tip of a hat
~ Some sort of mental deficiency: While intelligent, subject has been known to act like a puppy or a small child in mannerisms
~ Homicidal Rage: No hesitation to harm another at any cost if commanded by a master figure or if mask is touched

Coping System:
~ Gas mask has convinced subject of safety and room has been deemed a safe breathing zone
~ Subject finds other subjects and doctors to 'master' him, acting as parent or owner
~ Still in progress...

Personality Observations:
Subject does not speak even though it had been recorded subject has said ability to do so. It is assumed this is because of the difficulty for others to hear with the mask.
Subject Clyde sits and does his own thing around others, often seeming dark and brooding due to his mask hiding his emotions and his fit physique. When given positive attention he seems generally happy and will aim to please once the initial attention is given. If posed with an interesting sight or conversation he will sit and watch with some enamoration.
Negative attention results in one of two reactions which depends on the status of the provider. If the provider is one the subject recognizes as friendly he will become upset in a sad manner, much like a scolded puppy. If the provider is not recognizable or is in poor standing with the subject, anger and rage will ensue and Doctors should be called in immediately for sedation
Important note: never, under any circumstance, should non-authorized personnel attempt to touch or remove subject's gas mask. This results in immediate violence.

Other information:
~ It has been debated allowing subject the use of paper and utensils to convey thoughts whilst not speaking
~ Collects disgarded grenade pins...

History

Clyde was born to a loving couple in a modern suburbia and was, to them, a very good child. He had always had minor anger problems, but child therapy helped and he had always seen his doctors in a good light, as helpers. He grew up always trying to be nice to others and help them if they needed it. This kind behavior and a cute face made him friends with many girls but got him bullied a lot in school.
Being a weaker child, Clyde would often shrink back from these fights and take it until one day he was saved. His savior on the playground that day was a girl from his class who had just moved in. Her name was Delilah Madeline Greene and not only did she take down the bully that was harassing him, she made sure Clyde was okay too. Clyde was very thankful to Delilah for her actions and the two became fast friends after that.
Clyde learned that Delilah was a model, a young one but one none the less. He went to her shows and grew upset inside while watching her on the stage. She was a different person, a person he didn't much care for, who seemed so fake on the outside. But inside, when she spoke to him, she was still the girl he had met. And so, to distinguish her inner self from her outer self, he started to refer to her as Maddy.

Maddy and Clyde grew up doing everything together. Their parents, to their delight, also became good friends. Therefore, it was never a problem for the two of them to hang out, and they were always trusted alone.
Their favorite activity was to go to the fairgrounds in the City via train and play about there. Life seemed so good during their preteen years, doing so much together, and they were inseparable.

But all good things must come to an end...

In late middle school and highschool, Maddy got more serious about her modeling. She started to starve herself and hang out with girls who were known previously as 'plastics' for their looks and personality. Her clothing style changed from her unique "peppy goth" look to a more popular one. And while she still hung out with Clyde, all of this started to pull her away from him.
Clyde found this unacceptable, and unlike Maddy, he knew what trouble she was getting herself into. His anger problems from his past started to leak out again, triggered by the sight of his girlfriend in danger. He began to lash out more at people, which got him into trouble.

One day at Maddy's house, while her parents were out on a day trip with his, he told her how he felt. He then gave her an ultimatum: Him or modeling. Without an answer (Maddy just stared at him in silence) Clyde left the house and headed for home while Maddy cried herself to sleep.
And didn't wake up.

Clyde learned of Maddy's death the following day. Apparently, unbeknownst to them, there was a carbon monoxide leak in the house. Asleep and unable to detect the problem, Maddy died. Clyde was quickly blamed by Maddy's mother for the death of her only daughter. If only he had been there she would have never gone to sleep. If he had been there they could have gotten out at the first sign of danger and she'd still be alive.
Distraught and crushed by these realizations Clyde soon agreed that he was the reason for Maddy's death. He closed up to everyone after that, and became a secluded person.

Combined with his seclusion, Clyde began to wonder if the air around him had intended to claim him as well. This wondering turned quickly to paranoia that, for once, the doctors couldn't fix. Luckily, his grandfather came up with a solution, giving Clyde an old Gas Mask he had in his attic. As long as he had the mask on Clyde was alright, and didn't mind going about in the world.
But he was still damaged by the death of his best friend.
She haunted his dreams every night, asking him about regret, acting as if she was still alive...and it frightened him. He just wanted Maddy to leave him alone...so he could stop blaming himself....but she wouldn't go.

Feeling as though no one understood him and plagued by his paranoia and visions of the girl he's still certain fell to his action, Clyde was absorbed by the wrong people. He got involved with a gang who wanted him because with the mask on, he looked scary. Clyde worked hard for this new group of people who he felt understood him. He helped them "do good" around the town, tricked by their lies and his poor condition. This new environment also let his anger problems flourish and bloom into full homicidal mania.

One night though, a rival gang member caught Clyde's Achilles heel, removing his mask and striking him hard. Clyde woke up in the hospital without his mask and began an angry panic. He was soon sedated....

Clyde was sent to prison after the Hospital due to his previous record, but was released on good behavior because with the help of prison doctors, he was able to keep himself under control. Released back into the custody of his parents, the family moved away to start all over.
But 't was all for naught.
Clyde walked the streets doing this and that for his parents to keep busy, but occasionally he'd catch the sight of one person hurting another. This upset Clyde, he didn't like violence, not after everything he'd been through. He started to take manners into his own hands, luckily escaping on most cases in order to avoid returning to prison and making his mother cry again.

But one night, after a trip to the grocery store for milk, Clyde caught sight of an event that made him snap. A man had just beaten who Clyde had assumed as his wife, judging by the rings on their fingers. She was a pretty women who seemed to frightened and alone. Clyde immediately attacked the man, nearly killing him before the police came in and apprehended him.
He was taken to jail and held there until his trial could be done.

At the trial Clyde was deemed criminally insane and was set to go to an asylum. He apologized to his parents who gave him a new mask as a parting gift. They told him he'd get better, that the doctors would help him as they always had before.

Clyde's mind shrunk to regression with all of this new stress combined with the lingering old. As the police car took him to the Asylum he felt a little better...he was going to get better....he was going to leave the world behind him.

Let's hope Clyde's hope can keep up here....

Goals and Objectives

~ Learn to Overcome his past
Clyde's past has been the instigator for many of his current attributes, particularly those he doesn't like about himself. By overcoming the passing of Maddy, Clyde would be able to start fresh in the world....though his violent tendencies towards violence may still linger. You can't get rid of everything.

~ Remove his mask
Despite his overwhelming fear of the air itself murdering him for his misdeeds, Clyde wants to be able to take off his mask and show everyone who he is as well as be able to speak to them as opposed to miming everything. This would be a big step though, and he would need encouraging friends to help him with that.

~ Remove the Dreams of Maddy
Maddy is Clyde's anchor that keeps him from his goals. She invades his dreams because of the terrible guilt he still feels about her death. What's more, it also doesn't allow him to make anything more than friendly relationships, particularly with blondes. If Maddy were to leave though, Clyde would become lost in a world unknown to him anymore....everything would simultaneously fall apart and be put back together.
