I kept two people alive on my run with Carl to account for random death scenario, the other two I killed myself at the beginning.
I ended up losing them both and then I made it to the end just fine with my last crewmember, and I got really luck with ammo events so I ended up with something like 62 rounds left when I was done even after Carl ate some of it and threw some of it overboard.
