While Miss Aliana admired the calming work space of the nature surrounding her, long green animated limbs, slithering stealth-fully behind the lone woman that remain still in the open. Weaving and bobbing with no sound, like a wild snake, but this creature is no snake. The slithering green tentacle appearance looks just like from organic plant, like vines or roots.

Then, it suddenly wrapped around Aliana's ankle, and rappelled its way up binding her legs. Giving a good tug to knock her balance and pull toward the bushes.

123123 Magus | Enchanter | Sub-class Dark Elf
123123 1350 - 1350 Adept ooc: ---

Making her way slowly through the jungle, she brought her scythe to a slow stop. Still floating in
mid-air Losi looked about for any signs of the creature they were looking for. All the job had
reported was that some kind of plant monsters were running amuck in the jungle. It wasn't a lot to
go on, but surely it wouldn't be too difficult. A good fire spell to the roots should solve the problem.
Even though burning a plant was against everything Losi believed in. If it used anything magical by
any means she should be able to at least feel the area the creatures were in. However, it was
probably useless to do so. Being able to feel magic was a useful ability, but had very little use when
it came to dealing with plain old monsters. "I cannot sense anything magic about this area. Not
anything out of the normal anyways." Lo said to no one in particular, but hoped Adiel heard it at
                          least.

Urging her scythe forward she cautiously moved through the jungle looking for any plant that wasn't
moving by natural forces. With the waterfalls nearby it was almost impossible to make out any kind
of sound. It didn't mask the smell of the dead though. "What is that smell?" scrunching up her
face a bit in the presence of the really bad smell, Losi floated closer to the shoreline. A sight to
match the smell met her at the edge of a water. The beast itself looked like a waking daisy. If it
wasn't for the body parts at the roots of the creature Losi would have suggested soothing the beast
with better potting soil. But it had obviously found some of fertilizer its own. A good fire spell would
end this in a jiffy, or so Losi believed.

Quietly hopping off her scythe to the soft jungle floor below Losi took her scythe back in her hands.
"Fire would probably work best on this creature. Would you like to go first or should I?" it was
only polite to offer the first move to her dearest friend. Losi wasn't entirely certain that Adiel had any
fire tricks up her sleeve. If she did it would be good to know. If not then Losi had more than one spell
to take down this overgrown weed.

                          Detect Magic Passive
The magus can detect magic. This means when others cast spells, or emanate high amounts of energy, you can see their aura. This also means you can detect magic in an area, meaning if an area has something magical about it, you can feel it. At expert rank, you can determine the source in an area. Each source of magic has a special signature, meaning a magus will be able to recognize the energy of a person if they are expert rank or higher.

                          Enchantment? Enchantment! D-SS
The art of enchanting is a centuries old art, perfected by the mages of Amaranthine who used incredible spells to enchant beautiful jewels to fit on hilts of weapons, armor, etc. Now, enchantments have become necessary in combat. With the demand for them rising, many Enchanters have taken to the field, instead of hiding behind shop stands. With this skill, you may skip the approval process for customs. Though this skill has its rules and limits as well. The skill is very useful because the Enchanter may enchant the most commonplace of objects. A stick they found, a rock, or even an army of broomsticks! Depending on how much energy they put into the spell, the user may choose from a list of enchantments to place on an object, or even a person. There are many skills labeled "on self", which means they can only be used on the user. Only one enchantment may be on at a time, the user may switch enchantments every post.

A solar eclipse didn't seem right, it felt wrong and even alien. Like a blearing angry eye staring down from the sky, it wasn't something normal. There was just something... off. Wild speculations aside, there was a task at hand as the elf moved gracefully through the foliage. Shadows and the light melded around her form and silently shifted through the trees with quick movements. Not a sound came from above as the shadowed elf was far ahead of the dark elf unbeknownst to her at the time.

A sense of urgency and other unknown feelings without explanation plagued the mind, wild thoughts roamed through her for reasons she knew not. High above from time to time, she'd glance slightly at the eclipse and wonder. Sickly sweet smell of decay filled her senses now and then that flicked the girl back to reality as she perched high up in the tallest tree as a culprit of the smell was revealed to her some distance away.

Adiel remained in her cloaked form as she held off the side of the tree's trunk and perched carefully on the limb, shadows clinging to her body as she looked onward. Below she could hear the footsteps of what she assumed to be Lo' and other fauna in the vicinity that were probably attracted to the smell of flesh, scavengers?

Down below she heard Lo' ask her if she or her would make the first action on this carnivorous plant. For reasons, the elf didn't reply and remained silent in her perch as she looked on toward the creature.

What if there are more of them? Adiel wondered once she paused briefly with a hand over her chest and closed her eyes. The elf focused her mental presence further ahead to where the carnivorous plant was consuming what she assumed to be some humanoid, what race she wasn't certain but she assumed this was the creature the needed to be culled.

"Avoid my eyes. They'll burn you my lady." a whisper of Adiel would speak from behind Lo' a disembodied apparition of Adiel would appear only briefly as the ventriloquist phantom would vanish then. Her mental presence was then fully projected in front of the plant and as if on cue...

Adiel opened her eyes as she shifted her form in an instant and in a split second she popped out of literal thin air in plain view so Lo' and the plant would be able to see her where she was a few feet away from the creature. Her body was aglow with a faint light as her energy came alive, standing with arms held out at her sides with five knives in each hand fanned out and ready to be thrown. Golden light shone from her eyes then as her focus was all on the single plant creature as her gaze threatened to weaken the being and experience a burning sensation with a loss of strength as the elf shimmered slightly as the energy hummed through her and her body partially turned invisible, only leaving the golden light shining true.

Her senses were crystal clear, perception increased as she could feel a hypersensitivity around her being and should the being react, she would be more than ready to strike. "Begone." she said in a harsh tone, directly the speech to this creature as the partially invisible glowing elf took a single step. "Or be struck down when you stand." she said this time in elvish, her grip tightening on her knives as they each held a faint blue glow.

Summary

Spoke to Lo' from atop of a large tree from a stealthed/cloaked position with Ventriloquist Phantom and a phantom of herself to show herself briefly. She then warped with the Dementia - Dawn technique to take her in front of the plant based creature. Each of her ten knives, five in each hand are faintly glowing with Bright Lights and Adiel casted the spell Revealed which causes her eyes to glow, increase perception and reaction with a debilitating gaze to most creatures to exhibit a weakness similar to a Vampire in the sunlight. In addition, she is partially cloaked in the Dawn Shroud and is further influenced with the speed and mental fortitude against mental attacks that it also provides.

Passive Abilities

Mania-Dawn
Dementia - Dawn

Zenith
Heavy Duel Wielding

Stealth
Wall-Run

Mania - Dawn
Their connection to Solonor enables them some unique abilities, triggered easily and continuously throughout battle.
Dawn Shroud Available during night or day, the Dawn Elves can mentally edit the light around them, turning them almost completely invisible. They can do this repetitively, although it ends when they begin striking. They're not wholly invisible like this; you can see an outline of them. In the heat of battle, someone with premature concentration would not be able to keep up with the Elf.
Bright Lights A very potent ability, the elf can enchant two items/areas connected to their own person with a horrifying effect. Looking at the item will be like directly looking into the sun, causing extreme pain and permanently damaging their eyesight if they look for more than a glimpse. Even a short glimpse will damage their sight for the duration of battle, making it nearly impossible for them to see your outline through Dawn Shroud. You can switch the two areas that have this effect. You can choose between: both hands, your legs, your weapon(s), your arrows, your eyes and an accessory of yours.

• Dementia - Dawn
Dawn Elves can transmit their conscious into the air, similar to Dark Elves. They can use this very effectively, especially for spying. This is perfect for assassinations, as it allows you to completely recognize the conditions of the target. It's as simple as projecting your vision to anywhere within a km of you. You can look through walls, magical or not. Your other senses are available as well; you can hear, smell, feel. You can even project your sight into their bodies, although that's usually only helpful against monsters. It is, however, dangerous to use this in many scenarios. While you have keen senses, another stealthy opponent could assassinate you while you use this. This is the first of their projection passives, as they have another.

The second one enables them to, after having projected their sight somewhere, warp to it. While this is useful, it is simply stupid to try in battle, as it takes time to project your vision. The Dawn Elves will often use this to warp into the shadows, and perform a perfect assassination.

Revealed A
The Dawn Elves have special augments in their eyes, gifted to them by Solonor. This ability allows them to utilize these augments, giving them some very potent abilities. Their eyes will begin to blow a golden color, like the sun, although it will slowly turn into a cold blue as this ability goes on. This power makes them hyper-perceptive of their surroundings, and it doesn't just effect their sight, but also their other senses. Hearing, smelling, feeling, touching. Like vampires and werewolves, they become sensitive to all of their surroundings, and react much more quickly than others. The largest and most powerful portion of this ability is what it does to the enemy. Inspired by the debilitation magic of the Dark Elves, "Revealed" will begin to somewhat sear the enemy. Even without looking at them, just by focusing on them, they will literally begin to be covered with ash, slowly face burn marks, and many other hindrances such as slight dizziness, nausea, and most likely vomiting. Essentially, you can make any race endure the weakness of vampires, even if there is no sun around. This ability, when used on vampires, will be extremely painful and cause much worse nausea, and even migraines. It lasts for five posts.

Skill name: Just a Glimpse
Rank: E
Limits: Dawn Elf
Skill description: A unique skill to Aldaval of the Dawn Elves. Using the property of light and refraction, Alvah can create a deceiving illusions of flickers and apparitions of herself with movement and lights. With her movement, energy is released that muddles with the surrounding light to create a phantom image of herself that appears as a translucent figure from any part of her body such as the head, leg, arm, even her whole body and anything on her person. These apparitions do not last more than just a split second and do not have much combat use other than a cheap parlor trick yet it can prove useful under the right circumstances. As the skill name suggests, these images are 'just a glimpse' of her body. These are merely created by bending the light to refract her bodily image like that of a mirror that stems from her own ability to 'become invisible' and her ability to transmit her conscience elsewhere yet on a lower scale. The range is the same as Dawn.

Skill name: Ventriloquist Phantom
Rank: C
Limits: Dawn Elf
Skill description: A parlor trick used for speaking in other locations by extending the conscious to a focus point. Adiel can extend her voice to any location she focuses on within her range of Dementia - Dawn and use her disembodied voice to speak normally as if she were physically standing there. This is useful for keeping herself hidden, or to speak to an ally some distance away. While usable with the mentioned skill, Adiel can still extend her voice without it but without her senses or the benefit of the skill but can still relay her voice like normal.

However, the voices she heard behind her gave her a little bit of hope. She had no idea what was going on, but other people did. Placing her hand on the vine on her, she applied energy and broke the vine with a burst of magical energy. She managed to land on her feet, though shakily, and eyed her current situation. "If you're here to kill this thing, let's make it quick. It's interrupting my studies."

The large flora munching on a rotting caucus didn't notice the two elves that came into it's hunting ground during it's glutenous feast. It risen it's head, blood run down it's gaping mouth with intestine hang on the side. Hearing a voice, it slowly turned over to the omanis female stood up at a distant by the trees, giving a blinding illuminated aura from the elf's eyes.

The creatures roes, turning away from the caucus with full attention to her. With out a care, it started approach forward, walking it's plant limbs like a creepy humanoid. It appears it's not effected by Adiel's 'Glimps', however it's hard to say from a 'plant'. It continue to approach Adiel even from the blinding light, mouth slightly open, sharp blood-stained teethes visible. Moving it's shoulder, it's quickly swing it's vine-like arms, whipping near the blond elf that stood still.

As for Alliana, the vine snapped and burst, uncurled and freed the Sorcerer's ankle with the dismember vine flopped to the floor un-moving. The remaining retract into the bushes, sap slowly seeping out thickly as it retreat. A creature emerge out from the thick forest , connected from the bleeding vine. Appear exactly like the giant plant creature facing Adiel. This one is facing Alliana, looking hungerly for her blood. With it's arm, it raised it's vine limbs and bring it down, with a rushing force with it's flora bud.

123123 Magus | Enchanter | Sub-class Dark Elf
123123 1350 - 1200 Adept ooc: ---

A word of caution was passed to Losi through the shadow of Adiel. "Do not worry about me. I'll look away." she did not turn away from the plant creature just yet though. It had been some time since Adiel and herself had a good battle. She wanted to make sure neither of them were rusty to say the least. "Just do not burn the forest down." Losi said, smiling at the blonde as an image of her appeared in front of the walking weed. How Adiel could fight without actually being there baffled her to no end. The magic that her friend could use was so strikingly different than her own. It was like comparing the sun to the moon in more ways than just one. Losi smiled a little at that thought, thinking of accurate that actually was. She squinted a little as a soft glow started emit from Adiel. The feeling holy magic gave her was something similar to staring at the sun for to long. Or even standing to close to the sun. At the distance Losi was at she could feel the slow build of a warm feeling that could easily burn her should she get closer. 'Holy magic must feel pleasant to most people.' her thoughts drifted from the battle for a moment. Holy magic often caused her wonder how unholy magic felt to others. Then again Losi was unsure she wanted the answer to that question. Her thoughts refocused on the task at hand as the ground beneath her feet shook. Indicating that the large plant creature was moving. She looked away from Aidel while enchanting her scythe once more.

Again she took a seat on the scythe, taking just a second to get her balance. Just incase a quick get away was needed or she had a chance to get closer. It was much easier to move around on a floating stick than it was to run about and risk tripping or getting dirty. Most of the clearing was being flooded with the holy light by now, so it was almost impossible to avoid it. At the very least the only thing that could be one was shielding her eyes from it. As she raised a hand to block Adiel, and there for most of the light, a thought struck Losi. The creature was now moving awkwardly towards the blonde elf. As if nothing was hindering its movement other than it's own strange body structure. The holy magic was obviously not effecting it. Meaning it was either a holy creature itself or it had no eyes to see with. Shutting her eyes for a second she muttered a name under her breath. 'Justor…' a feeling of calmness washed over Losi. Tapping into the energy of her beloved deity, Losi stored a minor fraction of Justor's own mana in herself. It was a refreshing feeling to know that Justor would protect her. Or at the very least would allow her to protect Adiel.

Keeping one hand over her eyes, to block the holy magic, Lost placed her other hand on a nearby tree. Sending a wave of energy into the ground through the tree she leaned close it. In the elfish language Losi spoke to the tree gently "A weed has sprouted in this forest." A rumble could felt starting from her location as the roots in the ground below started to move according to her instructions. A handful of roots sprang out of the ground just behind Adiel and blocked the plants whip-like vine from striking the blonde elf. "You are not the only one who can do that." Losi said gleefully before turning her attention back to the tree. "Now then, let's try this." another wave of energy was sent into the ground through the tree. This time however it spread through the ground and into the air. Shards of earth, some bigger then Losi's head rose out of the ground caught in a twister of dust and dirt. The bits of rock formed a twisting shape that vaguely resembled something human. The head, chest, and arms were all connected by swirling winds. Everything from the waist down however tapered off however. Giving it the appearance of a dust tornado. It was an atronach of earth standing at about six feet in height.

Waving her hand slightly to move the newly formed atronach she gave it the one order she hoped it would need "Block the light for me." a rumbling noise akin to thunder came from the atronach before it slid to the side, blocking Adiel's holy magic enough that Losi could now use her hands. Free to sling spells now Losi spoke in the elfish tongue and raised her right hand "Travel quick, Adiel." A change in the air pressure could be felt through the air. A tunnel of zero air pressure and resistance was formed between herself and Adiel. With this the battle would surely end just as quick as it had begun. Or at least Losi hoped it would. She wanted as little damage to be dealt to the surrounding area as possible. "Least you get cold feet." Waving her left hand as if shooing an insect away, Losi cast a spell at the creatures feet…or…roots. The temperature seemed to drop as ice started to form around the walking plants feet.

                          Dementia
This ability allows them to store a tiny fraction of Justor's magic into their own body. The result is simple and yet very efficient. Not only are their casting times reduced by one post, but their spells are increased in size and range (and speed... slightly). This makes their magic harder to dodge, further solidifying them as the most efficient magic-users. The rate at which size/range are increased = add 1/3 of the base. So, 15 feet in length would become 20 feet in length. Speed is increased by about 1/5th, although this can become overwhelming if you constantly sling spells.

D Rank Enchantments:
Floating Mind Controlled Weapons, Weightless (Small to Normal sized weapons or objects)

                          Atronachs D-SS
Out of any material, the user may form an atronach, which is a creature held together by the user's magic made from a substance of the user's choosing. These atronachs, regardless of their make, gain access to an element of the user's choosing, being able to use skills up to the rank of the atronach. Their energy levels equal to half the energy level of someone of that rank, and will stay until thei energy has been depleted or when the skill is canceled. Until Expert, only one may be used at a time, at that time, two may be used at a time. At Sage, three.

                          Mother Spriggan E-S
Tales of some mysterious force which makes the trees dance, listening, and even coming to life have created a source of panic across many of the forest inhabitants of Kranilla and other forest settlements. Though in every case, it has always been an enchanter's dirty work. By goading plants and trees alike with the user's energy, they rapidly expand, twisting their roots to serve their Enchanter. Instead of forming to fight for the Enchanter, the user has absolute control over every plant or tree around them. The energy they put into the skill dictates what may be done.

C Ranked energy begins to branch out, allowing the user to morph the ground around the opponent, creating vines to lash out at the opponent along with the occasional root attempting the trap them.

                          Fast Lane C, A
This creates a tunnel of 0 Air pressure and 0 resistance. This only lasts as long as the Enchanter can keep expending more energy to keep the tunnel open. ANYTHING that enters this tunnel will travel 3x their speed, even a ping-pong ball can shatter through the paddle used to hit it. At A Rank, this speed doubles, making attacks travel down the tunnel almost instantaneously.

                          Cold Feet C
This is a mix of sabotage, a mix of ice magic. Upon casting this, the enemy will find their shoes/feet stuck to the ground, no matter what they do. They can't seem to move. This is actually as simple as freezing the mana around their feet, which prevents them from moving. This technique lasts for one post, two posts at expert or higher, and the enemy simply cannot move their feet during this time. However, they may still use magic and other abilities. An enemy locked by cold feet will have reduced mana surrounding their body, as it's all clumped up around their feet. As such, magic will do one rank less in damage within ten feet of them, which gives them the option to simply hold out by blocking your spells with their own.

The environment seemed to twist and churn as she suspected Losi' was working her magic. A rare smile flashed across the elf as she saw the movements a mile away as she swayed on her feet and ducked underneath the swinging arm plant-like arm of a whip. Yet it was quite clear that conventional means were not going to prevail in this encounter as the elf tucked her arms in drew in energy from the area around her as the attack whisked her hair and her cloaked form faded back and she was fully visible to everyone that would set their eyes on her.

Adiel breathed in slightly as she took in her surroundings with the aid of her enhanced senses the woman felt the air chill and the pressure of the air change. The elvish tongue of her comrade was hint enough and she knew her friend's magic well enough to know what she was doing, Adiel acknowledged the dark elf's skill and muttered in the elvish tongue an incantation to prepare her techniques as she still took in energy while golden energy radiated around her body still.

"Die." Adiel uttered in the elven tongue as she jumped backward as took off at a blurring speed as a testament to the elf's speed. The taken in energy was all released at once as the elf pushed the air away from herself and moved backwards in the tunnel of air that Losi' was just starting to create as she flung both her arms outwards with all ten knives thrown out at the same time. With both her Daywalk skill and the slipstream effect of Losi's spell, all ten knives would be sent off toward the plant creature at breakneck speed, threefold the normal throwing power of the elf as each of the blades were aglow with the holy energy that were dormant in them each aimed for the creature's discernible head.

While Adiel was in mid-air in the middle of her daywalk dash, at the precise moment her throwing knives were released, Losi' would be able to detect long strands of mana extending out from her fingers. These connected to each of her knives and all ten of them would erupt with energy upon impact, should they hit the plant or a solid surface. Should these hit the plant, three bursts of golden light would rupture into the air as ten golden beams from each affected knife would equate as if ten more had struck, potentially if all ten knives were to hit it would impact as if a hundred were thrown in addition to the increased speed and impact from the Dark Elf's air tunnel to further enhance Adiel's knives deadliness.

The dawn elf had landed on the ground ten feet back in a half crouch as the smile was still strewn across her face, yet she cloaked into the shadows given from the surroundings with her shroud to where she was all but invisible save for magical detection and the obnoxious golden glow around her.

Summary

Adiel synchornized her movements and attack with the combined spells of Cold Feet and Fast Lane. Ducking underneath the swing from the plant, she took in energy then and used Daywalk to propel herself backwards just as the air pressure and temperature changed. Mid-daywalk dash she flung all of her knives with extending her control of Blade Marches to all ten knives. Collective's Sol's passive ability Conduit allows for remote energy to be implemented into the knives. The knives would be traveling at 3x the normal speed due to the forming of the air tunnel with them aimed toward the floral head (the bud with all the teeth). All carry a holy innate enchantment as per the Collective Sol weapon and all are enchanted with the Dawn Elf ability Blade marches and should each one hit, it'll impact with a barrage of ten energy based slashes with the grand total of a hundred holy strikes in addition to the ten knives should they all strike. The attack is treated as +2 ranks in damage from Dawn Elf and Assassin class and racial features. Revealed's perceptive properties are still in effect along with the actual skill itself.

• Daywalk D
By pushing the mana in the air away from you, your speed will increase wildly for a short burst, allowing you to strafe in any direction about fifteen feet. This strafe is much faster than your regular movement speed, and as such is useful as either a gap-closer or a dodge ability. This is the most commonly used ability of the Dawn Elves, as they will use it several times in one fight. It cannot be used in rapid succession, but can be used up to twice in one post (with pause in-between).

• The Blade Marches D x 10
This can apply to any weapon, not just blades. You slash/strike your weapon, and a flurry of holy slashes/stabs barrages against the enemy. This skill is very useful against unholy creatures, but it's also very deadly against most anyone. It can be especially useful with arrows, as it would essentially be equivalent to shooting them ten times. Anyone hit with this directly will be damaged very badly, as each strike of the flurry does as much damage as a regular weapon strike would.

Revealed A 4/5 Posts left

Alliana Treverexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

TABTAB Alliana was already tired of this stupid plant. Here she was, minding her own business when she was attacked for no apparent reason other than a mindless creature looking to sate its hunger of a prey beyond itself. Small licks of red lightning spawned from her hands as she blew a puff of air from her mouth to move the hair blocking her vision. "Tis a horrid time to choose me as your target, cretin. A mistake you will not be making again." There apparently was another battle going on, but that was of no consequence to her. That same red lightning concentrated and flew from her arm that extended to the plant creature as it rushed her, zapping it with pure energy. And then again. And again. She relentlessly used the same spell thrice, not waiting to see if the first or second were enough to end the creature's life.

User ImageNeither plant survived the onslaught of attacks directed at them. The elves and the red easily dispatched of the lumbering, carnivorous flora. They were too slow to dodge the attacks, too stupid to devise a crafty surprise, and their only redeeming features--strength and defense--could do nothing against the explosions and magic. With a creaking groan, both monsters splintered and broke before toppling to the ground. Except for the buzzing of flies around what had been the monsters' meal and the usual sounds of the forest, all was quiet.

Birds, bees and other fauna sang and scuttled about in the forest as the hissing, groaning death of the sentient plant monster faded away. The fantastic display alongside Losi' had more than enough eliminated the creature. I grinned slightly, the devastation and controlled destruction of the holy light and ice from my dark elf liege was a satisfying sight. Seems we both knew how how the other fought, the warming presence of the light began to leave me finally as it was no longer needed.

Its glow no longer was radiating out as I could feel the warmth leave as I rose to both feet muttering in my elven tongue. "Return." the knives reacted as they fizzled out in the distance and all conveniently reappearing on my person, all in their respective sheath partially aglow with golden light before each died down. The Collective Sol was what they were called, a set of throwing knives infused with the magics of Dawn and Dusk Elves.

"Calm your magic, my lady." I walked across the forestry ground that was still chilled from the ice Lo' had used. There the creature laid dead as green goop seeped from its wounds while smoke sizzled from the burns from where the holy had impacted it. In closer detail it had large gaping maw still red with the blood of its recent meal, thick vines to a odd body. "I believe it is dead by now." I had said, looking at the corpse, my hand drifted down to a knife for just in case it needed a quick finishing, doubtful.

My gaze drifted to the dark elf and I sighed. "This was your task, might I leave the rest to you, my Lady?" it came more annoyed than I wanted it to, but this wasn't my quarry and had better things to do than hunting plants any other lame-brain could do. Such tasks could very well be left to soldiers. I stopped myself there.

Earlier the eclipse however was unsettling me in ways that felt, wrong. Something deep down in my very heart, I knew that it was something other than a normal eclipse. But however, I am no oracle nor do I care to be one. My unease didn't need to be translated into annoyance toward my Lady. It wasn't just.

Looking away from the dark elf, I had cloaked myself in light, and bent it away so that I was only a shimmering mirage. My mental presence was sent upward, through the leaves and branches to a higher point, a more preferable location. It was then, my body shifted instantly in a means of teleportation, joining my physical body with my mind far above.

The transition, as always, was silent with only the slight shake of the branch taking my weight. The cloak of light still hid my body as I balanced on the tree limb, legs bent and one arm to steady myself on the main trunk. As always, I favored the high ground where I could always see around me. Closer to the sky, sun and watching below to keep an eye on my lady, even if she were to think she was alone.

Thinking back to the dead body the plant was consuming, was this job in regards to finding a missing person? Or was it only to disposing the forest of such a pest? There was no use worrying about it then I told myself with a silent sigh. This was her job, if she needed more use of me, I would hear of it.

The urge to leave was there, to leave as quick as the arrival was. But I couldn't for I was here to protect Losi' no matter what, I was sworn to protect her and keep watch until she would say otherwise. No knowledge on what was next, it was a simple matter to simply wait as I flicked one of my ten knives out, twirling it about between my fingers as a means to alleviate my boredom.
