Not sure how to respond, the fisherman took another drink. Perhaps this man had been drinking a bit too much beer. Rocks didn't have auras. Well, he'd never seen a rock with an aura anyways. Not that he spent much time looking at rocks. Another drink.
Suddenly the rock was flying towards him and the fisherman was left to try and catch it without spilling his drink all over himself. Okay, this guy was really odd. Still, Kaden managed to somehow half catch the gem and at least fumble it into his lap while getting his drink placed onto the coffee table to free up his other hand.
He picked up the gem and turned it over in his hands. "So... wha' exac'ly do you do wi'h t'ese?"

Amerald just smiled, almost a whole other side of him was now very apparent. What was wrong with him? This didn't seem like the normal Amerald everyone else had been dealing with, no...something was definitely different. He then spoke up a tad, still having his voice not reach over a whisper. "Well, what we can do with that is give a creature the power to control darkness. Isn't that a great idea? Being able to be strong in the night...a bit weaker by day, but heavily dependent upon the time."
He stood slowly, moving the cup to the side of him to sit on the coffee table. Just a bit more and he could do just about anything to this man.
Suddenly, Annabelle began to descend the stairs. She hit the bottom step and suddenly jumped back a bit, rather surprised at the company. "Oh, father, I-I am quite sorry for interrupting." she said.
"Oh, it's fine. Kaden, this is my daughter, Annabelle." he said, gesturing over to the woman with horns.
Annabelle just nodded with a smile. "It is quite nice to meet you, Kaden." she said, floating over as it were towards the man who was called 'Kaden'. She was rather surprised her father had let another human into the house. But something was definitely off about him. She just couldn't put her finger on it.

The onyx crystal was set down on the coffee table and the beer was picked back up. He needed some liquid thinking power for what Amerald was going on about. "Crea'ure? Wha' kin'?" He'd seen one of those snapper hounds from a distance. That thing would be scary with powers. As if it wasn't already scary enough. Was this man the source of such beasts?
Another drink as footsteps descended the stairs from the upper floor. A woman entered and was introduced. Okay, this beer was definitely causing problems. This woman looked like she had wings and horns! The fisherman stared at the drink for a moment before attempting to focus on Annabelle. "Pleashure to meeh you." With a grin, the poor man slumped sideways, a snore starting up almost before his head settled onto the cushion.

"Oh my...father what have you done!?" were the only words that were able to escape the hraapea's mouth. She was shocked and rather scared at what her father might have done. Did he drug the poor man? He was...snoring? Amerald had put him to sleep? Thoughts were constantly running through her mind as she fell to her knees and began to figure out if the man was still alive.
"Perfect...Anna, he's fine. I just gave him some potent beer...with a little something I added. He'll be out for the night for sure. Just fetch him a blanket and pillow, let him sleep. I have things to do downstairs." Amerald said, standing up, brushing by the girl's dress and coming around the back side of the couch for a quick pluck of the man's hair. He hummed to himself as he went down the hallway.
"Father...what were you thinking." Annabelle whispered to herself, slowly standing and doing as Amerald had asked. Within moments, she had a pillow and blanket in hand, helping the sleeping man become more comfortable. If he was here for the night, the least they could do was be hospitable towards him.
