Neku Sakuraba - Neku is a fifteen year old boy. He is antisocial and doesn't care much for other people. Also, he is never seen without his headphones on (except briefly in the beginning and ending sequences).
Shiki Misaki - Shiki is a fifteen year old girl. She loves fashion and clothes, and has a nice and friendly attitude. She carries her homemade stuffed animal "Mr. Mew" with her everywhere.
Joshua (Yoshiya Kiryu) - Joshua is a fifteen year old boy. He is sly and clever, but likes to tease people a little bit. He knows a remarkable amount of information about the Reapers' Game.
Beat (Daisukenojo Bito) - Beat is a fifteen year old boy. He acts tough in front of others, but is friendly and open. He is Rhyme's older brother.
Rhyme (Raimu Bito) - Rhyme is Beat's partner. She is very supportive and encouraging, and likes to use adages to motivate and cheer people up. She is Beat's little sister.
Reapers:
Uzuki Yashiro - Uzuki is a short-tempered, self-centered Reaper who only thinks of herself, her promotion, and (perhaps) Kariya. She and Kariya make a strong team. Towards the end of the game, she reviews her selfish goals.
Koki Kariya - Kariya is a lazy, easy-going Reaper who likes to take his time. He prefers not to fight unless he is forced or ordered to, and attempts to make things easier for both Reapers and players-until provoked, when he becomes a powerful enemy. He hangs out with Uzuki, and the two together make a deadly team that can use combo attacks, similar to Players.
Yodai Higashizawa - Higashizawa is a heavyweight, chef-like Reaper who treats players like dishes. He is the Game Master of the first Week. His Noise form, Ovis Cantus, is a Ram and is a powerful close-range attacker who stays stationary, but also has a special attack that can stop psychs from working temporarily.
Sho Minamimoto - Minamimoto is a power-crazed, math-obsessed Reaper. He hates most living things and treats them like garbage, with some exceptions. He is the Game Master of the second Week. His Noise form, Leo Cantus, is a bi-pedal Lion.
Mitsuki Konishi - A silent, but deadly secretary-like Reaper, who follows orders under Kitaniji. She is the Game Master of the third Week. Her Noise form, Tigris Cantus, resembles a winged, humanoid tigress.
Megumi Kitaniji - The Conductor of the Reapers' game, and the Composer's second in-command.

Sanae Hanekoma - Hanekoma (also known as Mr. H) acts like a guardian of the players, and always makes sure that the game is fair and everyone follows the rules. He is a sort of mentor to Joshua. He also runs a cafe called WildKat.
