 Thatch walked along the water's edge. His fur was berry stained and he didn't want to clean his fur, because he would want to eat even more berries.
Humming he found a shallow spot to sit and let the water get most of the juice off. He gazed at the trees to one side of the water, his nose twitched as scents came and his tail swished in the water. He leaned down to get a drink.

Sephi had awoken pretty early that morning,the bright hot
sun had woke her up a lot sooner than shed like which
caused her to feel quite drowsy. She decided to go down
and take a swim hopefully to wake herself up and help her
feel more refreshed.
On the way down the path she stopped when she noticed
the sweet scent of berries in the air,but being that she
was so eager to get down to the water to take a swim
she decided to break a branch off of
the berries & carry them with her for later.
As she approached the shoreline
she noticed another shakaiyo wading in the water,
she crept up closer and snuck up behind a boulder that
was close by to observe this shakaiyo that shed never seen before.

As he took his drink, he noticed white wings reflecting in the water. He turned to look, water splashed and he slipped. He struggled to get his feet under him and caught a fish at the same time. He stood up with his mouth open and the fish bounced around, his tongue pushed the fish out. "There you go. Pick a better place to hide next time." He said to the fish.
He was still sure he had seen wings behind him though, so after Thatch watched the fish swim away, he went to find those wings. He moved slowly, being cautious of what it could be. He looked around the area, making sure he could run away without tripping.

Sephi chuckled at the slightly clumsy shakaiyo that she was
still watching behind the boulder. She was rather impressed at his
fish catching skills,she didnt know many shakaiyos that could catch fish with
such ease,other than herself. After awhile of observing him she rounded up the
courage to take a few steps closer to the other
shakaiyo as he looked around
the area.
She quietly took a few steps up to him trying
to be quiet as possible so she wouldn't startle him.

Thatch twitched an ear at a sound. It sounded like a laugh. He turned his head slowly towards the boulder, not seeing the other Shakaiyo walking around. "Who's there?" His voice hiding his nervousness.
He whipped his head back the other way, maybe it was over there. He stared at the trees, his eyes searched every shadow for that noise he heard. Thatch didn't see anything, so he shook his head. He thought it was just his imagination. His sisters wouldn't follow them out here, not today, to play tricks on him.

Sephi chuckled to herself quietly and slowly made her way
over to the other shakaiyo trying to be quiet so she
wouldnt startle him. She waddled over next to where
the other shakaiyo was sitting and sat quietly next to him.

Thatch felt that someone was near him. He bent his head down to get a drink and jumped back out of the water. There was a white shakaiyo looking at him in the water. He looked over, saw her and stuttered, "Wh..who are you and whe... where did you come from?"
His feet caught and tripped him back on his rump. He couldn't believe this, he was scared by a female. If his sisters ever found out, he would never hear the end of it.
