I'm wide awake the more I sleep

I'm sure I heard that Gaia were going to do something about immortal fish, but I haven't seen any activity around my immortal Lazor Fish, Rustem.

At the moment, he's 368 days old; that's over a YEAR. O_o

Seeing as his life expectancy is only supposed to be eighteen weeks, that's ridiculous. stare From my analyzer, Rustem's date of death is 12/21/2028 @ 11:27:34 PM. [x]

Anything I could do? I know I could put him in Barret's tank, but I fail to see how that's going to solve his immortality. I put him in my tank at a time when I was buying Knight Fish et all; I've since moved on from that to a different type of fish, and he does not fit in with the others at all.

AFAIK if you don't want him in your tank your only current option is to put him in the freezer.

That thread was posted June 27th. In the follow up posts many users have asked for clarification but to the best of my knowledge there has been no response from the Aquarium team. Ignoring users is something the Aquarium folks are getting quite a reputation for.

In spite of what the post says I don't think they have actually fixed the glitches yet. Possibly it is just their intent to kill off fish four months after the announcement date. If they do it that way I'll be pissed because two of my tanks have full sets of dolphins in the freezer as backup sets. I don't care if their life span is set to 'normal' but they should not be killed off.

Wish the Aquarium team, and the rest of the Gaian staff, would realise that ignoring users just makes them more mad. stare Even if they were just sitting on their backsides watching reruns and eating Skittles, I'd still be happier with an announcement of progress (or none, as the case may be) than of prolonged silence.

I agree. That pretty much sums up the point of my communication thread (points at sig). Feel free to go there and add your two cents if you have not already done so. Heck, feel free to go there again if you have. heh!

BTW, you just glowed. I bumped and played.
It's just my opinion - but make your glow thread link go to a REPLY BOX. It speeds up the bump process and you will get more bumps. Some folks (me) are on dial up. A glow thread page 1 loads much more slowly than a reply box. Then I have to hit reply and wait for that to load.

I almost always bump before I play so it slows me down from getting tot he actual game.

Again - I respect your right to do it how ever you want. That's just my opinion. smile
