Nobody ever gets out of it alive, anyway." --------------------
A young skarlit bird perched on the branch above the two and began to preen itself. "I have no clue where the bar is" Misaki said as she stared up at the bird as she slipped her weapons back into her bag. "I told you, I've never gone down there. Too afraid. But, I have a couple of friends up here who've had to navigate down there for me." She activated her Anigan and smiled up at the bird. "One of them wouldn't mind leading the way for me, right?" The bird in the tree looked down at the pair and seemed to shake its head 'no'. Misaki laughed a little as she streched her arm upward and clicked at the bird.

The kunoichi figured that since she sent her letters there, her friend would know. Sora thought with embarrassment as she learned that she was mistaken. The girl said out loud, "Alright then. You head to the bar before me and wait in your dad's office. I'll meet you there. "M hmmm" she nodded absently as she stayed focused on the skarlit. She hadn't seen this friend in a long while, but still recognized her as a friend. "You were one of my first messengers, weren't you" Misaki said, almost sweetly. "You remember my daddy, don't you. Mind showing me around in the village?" The bird observed Misaki for a good minute before skwaking loudly and taking off towards the the village. "Meet you there" she squeeled as she raced after her friend.

Sora nodded and waved Misaki off before climbing carefully down the mountain side. Soon, she neared the base of the Southern Mountain and could see her jounin friend. "Nagisa!" the girl called out happily with a wave of greeting as her pace visibly quickened. Needless to say, she nearly tripped twice and tumbled down the last ledge, landing right at Nagisa's feet. After hastily picking herself up while checking that she hadn't broken anything, Sora looked up and asked, "You waited?".

Nagisa looked up as Sora returned from the mountain, thankfully undamaged. "Nah, I've got better things to do than wait around for the likes of you." She smiled to let Sora know she was just teasing. "You seem pretty happy. Did you find what you were looking for?"

Sora nodded in response to Nagisa's question and replied, "Although, it wasn't much.... Why'd you wait? I would have been all right." Embarrassed, Sora couldn't help but slightly blush at the last statement. She didn't like causing so much trouble to her friend and it wasn't like the wait had been short. At the very least, Sora's trip must have taken at least half an hour, maybe an hour. It was kind of hard to keep track of the time when one was kept constantly scared throughout the majority of the trip.

"Well, i was supposed to go up with you remember? Plus Ides doesn't seem the most trustworthy fellow. I was just about to go up and find you." She paused and giggled. "Besides, i'm rather curious what's up there myself. Mind filling me in?"

Sora nodded as she heard Nagisa's explanation and then explained herself, "Like I said before, there wasn't much on the top. Just an abandoned home from the looks of it. The door was unlocked so I just went in but I couldn't see anyone inside of it," she looked sheepishly down at the ground, seemingly embarrassed, "Even though I spent 15 minutes searching the place from top to bottom, all I found were dust and some moldy wood. It was probably cleared out a long time ago." The girl then looked up nervously at the mountain and Ides, fear clear on her face. Whatever joy she had had before when seeing the familiar face of her friend was clearly replaced with her usual fear of the mountain. "N-nagisa," she whispered, "do you mind if we talk elsewhere. I'm sorry it-it's just that...."

Nagisa noticed Sora was being pretty closed mouthed. Just moments ago she said she had found what she was looking for, now she was saying all that was there was a dusty old house and nothing of note. Perhaps Ides was making her nervous? Nagisa nodded, and motioned for Sora to follow her as she made her way to the village academy. She had forgotten that she was supposed to be acting as a temporary teacher soon. They could talk privately in the office, and Sora could speak freely...Hopefully.

Sora nodded and gratefully followed after Hikaro. However, the girl couldn't help but notice that her friend seemed somewhat suspicious of her.

Mizaki trailed after the bird, and wondering aimlessly as far as she knew. But she didn't care much. She trusted the bird wholeheartedly to lead her where she was supposed to go. The bird circled ahead of her twice, then fluttered down to land on the head of an awaiting black cat. The bird picked at the cat's head, and the cat just sat there and yawned. Mizaki smiled. She was more familiar with the cat than the bird. She'd even named it! "Tsuki" she called out as she rushed to the awaiting cat and bird. The cat meowed at her, then turned tail to face the edge of her mountain. "Oh! So you're supposed to show me where to go?" The cat meowed loudly, but never stopped nor hesitated in its steady pace to the village. " I see. Well then, do you think you could do me a favor? See, I need this letter delivered, but I don't want to loose sight of a new friend of mine. So, could you..." She didn't get to finish her sentence before the cat had grabbed the letter from her hand and turned tail. She smiled and giggled a bit. "Thank you for this! Birdie, do you think you could lead the way to Sora now?" The bird turned its head, then sqwaked loudly as it took to the sky. Misaki smiled as she followed the bird aimlessly.
