Kay was pretty relieved that it wasn't about him for once. Usually it was. His brow quirked when Quint wordlessly had him silenced - damn, he was good - and after a rather confused and curious nod had the paper handed to him. Blinking, he pressed his lips together and took it, reading it pretty quickly. How could he not?! The content was...was...just...what.
His expression darkened instantly, a near murderous intent crawling over his features. He read it a couple more times just to make sure he was reading what he was reading, and when he became aware that he wasn't seeing things, nor that he wasn't going to magically change the content, he looked back up at his Brother.
Their family never got a rest, did they?
Apparently not.
"We can't tell her." Kay murmured under his breath, his eye narrowed. He didn't want to know what Switch would do if she found out. But, at the same time... "And we have to get him." Like hell some strangers were going to break up his family! Like ******** hell.

Quint stood aside and waited for his brother to read quietly his arms crossed over his chest and then nodded a bit at Kay's reaction as he flicked his gaze over toward where he had last seen Switch wander to make doubly sure she wasn't suddenly wandering into earshot before he spoke, "But what are we gonna tell her? We just going out?" he asked as he reached up and scratched the back of his neck, "I am not worried about her being alone right now since Tek is here - I think he's in his room." At least that's where the boy last was from the last time he'd seen him, unless he'd somehow managed to wander out without anyone noticing, Quint didn't actively pay attention so he didn't always sense it.
He turned his head upward thoughtfully, "Should we prepare?" he asked secondly. How did one prepare for a thing like this? It wasn't like the house was filled with artillery or had a secret place where such artillery could possibly be stored.
"I mean we can't possibly go in without being challenged..."

"Sounds good to me...but we can't tell her the truth." He was keeping his voice low, and he glanced once where Quint had, just in case. "I don't think she'd be able to take it, yanno?" Poor, easily broken Mother of his. It was clear how she reacted to his regular trips away, but to know he probably wasn't coming back...? That'd kill her!
"How? Not like we've got anything but what we have on us." Kay rolled his eye. "I mean at most there's some baseball bats, but...I'm used to brawling, and you have your teeth..." Frowning, he wrapped one arm across his stomach and pinched the bridge of his nose. If it was a lab it was probably heavily equiped, wasn't it? Fuuuuck.
"We don't even know where this place is." Kay groaned out in a low tone. "He could be anywhere." Ffff...this sucked. It sucked bad. "Where the ******** do we even start, man?"

Quint nodded a bit, "Yeah, we don't want her to worry about him or over us while we go get him," he murmured softly as he crossed his arms over his chest and bowed his head thoughtfully as he listened to his brother point out to their advantages despite being mostly ill prepared otherwise. He had to admit he often times forgot about his biting capabilities since he rarely had cause to use it for anything. It wasn't like biting things was of a practical use as far as Quint knew anyways.
The youth paused quietly as Kay pointed out that they don't even know where the place was. His heart sank a bit and he frowned deeply. They honestly didn't have time to do much research about it. Mom would certainly notice when Dad didn't come home around the length of time after it passed. Quint and Kay needed to act fast. "Well...If I concentrate really hard maybe I can sense Dad somehow. I mean people do give off different enough energies that I could maybe find him if we start walking even randomly..."
It was a big maybe.
