I was looking at Annador's post about her schedule given to her late, and I began thinking about school. It caused me to want to rant. that is in no way, shape, or form to be taken offensively Annador, It's an old topic that goes a bit back. I think that this topic is a very good one, and I would like to know the readers thoughts.

School these days are anything but educational. You may call me rude, you may say in saying this I am plaguing the minds of those who read, however, this I assure you I am not.

There was a time when kids used to go to school and come home and rant to their parents about how much they hated it, and how horrible it was, when in reality it was not all that bad. Now, we look at today. Kids can come home, say this, and actually mean this. The parent will not understand that the child has been suffering through peer pressure and drug usage. Kids in public schools are merely raised by the people that they connect to, and it's a scary thought. I am not going to rant about who should be blamed because there are several people.

We take a look at colleges and we see that people are not even able to succeed in being what they truly want to be because there is no room in the class, or they have to take other meaningless courses. These courses cause stress, make them uncomfortable, and cause them to grow gray hairs. Sleepless nights over things that you are told if you don't do, you will never succeed in life. This is completely untrue. You can be what you want to be, it takes research, practice, and passion. It does not take someone telling you what you can, or can not do.

We take a look at schools and we can visually see the carelessness. I know twelve year olds who speak of sex, it is horrible.

Parents-

If you don't spend time with your kid, than you won't ever know what your kid is up to. You know, this leads into several other topics. The topic of having a child and not knowing what to do with him/her. The topic of dumb "love", and sexual acts resulting in said child you don't know what to do with. It all leads back around to responsibility, and giving a damn about our world, and our youth. I am not saying you should care all the time, stress yourself out (which is another topic that is hurting the community, "stress") but I am saying that you should stop, take a look at what's happening, and find ways to help such things. If you have a child, you're responsible for him/her, and if you don't take the time to be with the child, there will be grave consequences. It's never too late to pick yourself back up, and I believe that things happen to motivate people for better actions.

Do not mistake me for someone who is all about parenting. I am not a parent myself, I cannot tell you how to be a parent, however I believe all of this is common sense. This is why sometimes I am baffled by such things.

I appreciate you reading this very much, I am glad I posted this because It helps to finally get thoughts out I've been thinking for a while. I am going to relax my mind nao, and go play some PS3 : D If you'd like to state your thoughts on this, please do. I meant in no way to offend anyone, my only question is... don't you think schools are a little strange these days? My message to you is simple: Just stop and think a little while, that's all.

If anyone disagrees, be a youth leader/helper for a month and just wait and see. You'd be amazed at all that these kids are going through.

I have every intention of homeschooling my future offspring. Some people think that's warped or depriving your children of a normal youth but, whats normal about 12 year olds having sex and 14 year olds doing dope? Not to mention the things those kids talk about.. they way they "help" each other. Its the blind leading the blind.
