So i was at the airport trying to put my skylark back onto SS when my DS hopped out of my hand, landed on the floor, and decided to turn off while trying to save. gonk
Apparently, when that happens, your game says, "return from a stroll?" and the pokewalker says "Go for a stroll?". so in order to use my pokewalker... scream
It wasn't until after i reset my game that i found out you can restart your pokewalker itself. stressed
Lesson learned: dont try to transfer pokemon at the airport! sweatdrop
(sorry about the rant, I'm just so frikin angry xp )
edit: luckily i still have pearl! 4laugh

Here's a cooler pokewalker error
t all started when I lost my pokewalker for my Pokemon Heart Gold game I was depressed because I had a level 60 dragonite on it. After a few months I decided get a new one. I went on google and tried to find one. After a few minutes I managed to find one for 2$ with free shipping but they wanted the money to be sent directly to the address which seemed a little odd, but I sent it anyway. It arrived about a week later. When I opened the box I first noticed the pull-out tag was missing, so it was used, but I didn’t care so I pressed the middle button. The screen of the usual pokewalker screen came up, but there was an unknown being walked, so I transferred it to my game. When I did my ds shut off, so I turned it back on. When I started the game it seemed normal but there was no intro which I find enjoyable and I always watch it so I was wondering why it didn’t start, but I just thought it was a glitch so I continued. Next, there was music on the page where they show Ho-oh flying, but I did what I did last time and continued. The next scene where you get the options was missing, so It just put me in the game.
When I started my game was what seemed to be the old gold version for the GBC (gameboy color), and I was in the lighthouse on the bottom floor. I instantly checked my pokemon and they were gone. I put the game down and tried to go back to the website but it was gone, and I located the address on google Earth and it was an empty lot. At this point I was freaking out, but I picked up the game and continued. I tried to exit the lighthouse but the door wasn’t letting me leave instead giving me a message saying “kill them” written in unknown. I checked my player status and everything was at zero and my name was Kill Them. I decided to try to get to the top of the lighthouse. When I went to the next room it was nothing but doors on every wall. I decided to go trough one, and when I went through it there was I painting. I clicked on it and a very detailed picture of Professor Oak shot at least five times laying on his back in a pool of blood. I hit the off switch and turned it back on and the same picture came up, so I had no choice but to continue. I pressed B and the image disappeared, and I left the room. I was greeted once again by the many doors and went in another. Once again there was a painting and I clicked it, and it showed once again a very detailed picture but this time it was a child maybe 7 hanging from his arms without a shirt with a huge gaping wound and his organs were on the floor, and he was missing his eyes. To add to the horrible scene there was a very faint screaming of a child. I left the room scared to death, and entered another door, the next painting were like the other ones (very detailed), and it was Brock dead in a chair with his head in his lap. That is all I can remember before I left in fear, the next was a child, I couldn’t even tell the gender. It was like all the other child but more disturbing and detailed then the other. This disturbing pattern continued until there were no more doors. When I left room which had a another picture of a child missing all its limbs and organs which were all on the floor in a big pool of blood. After this painful last picture (which was so detailed it looked to be real) I left the room and there was only one door in the room now, so I opened it. The next room had all paintings and a flight of stairs. I just went up the stairs the next room had a sign and more stairs, and the room was a slight tint of red. I red the sign and it said “Getting closer” written in unknown; I took the stairs. The next room was filled with paintings, had stairs, and was even more redder then the last. Scared, I clicked on one of the paintings. It was like the other children but more detailed and worse. Its entrails were being pulled out by a hand, the hand was covered in blood and organs. I nearly threw up. Every picture was of a child more detailed and worse then the last. The last picture was of a head of a child. It was missing its eyes and it looked like its nose was ripped off, and its mouth was wide open, and its tongue was cut out. I quickly ran up the stairs. There were two people, Lance and Red (Lance is the pokemon champion of the game, and Red is Ash Ketchum who is the master pokemon trainer who you have to fight at the end of the game in Mt. Silver, for those who didn’t play the game). Lance Walked up to my and we engaged in battle, with no music. I had all my pokemon who I trained to lev 100 so I beat him with no problem, I found it odd that my pokemon who must were not in the game came up and pixilated perfectly and that all the pokemon had double their health. After the battle Lance battled me again. This time he had one pokemon. It said “Lance sent out himself!”. So I battled him and he was a level one and I beat him with one shot. After the battle he fell to the ground and became surrounded by a pool of blood. Then a message written in unknown said “he and his pokemon died”. Then me and Red battled and, all my pokemon were healed so I beat him like I beat Lance with no problem the same thing happened with Red that happened with Lance. After the second message that was the same as the first disappeared, the escape animation played. Now another message written in unknown said “you killed them no destroy it”. I was confused, but then I remembered the pokewalker. I destroyed it like the game said and flushed the pieces down my toilet and continued (I don’t why I didn’t keep it and show someone, but something was forcing me to. I felt like I had to do it). So after a pressed A the message disappeared and I was back to my Heart Gold game at the Indego league just where I saved and my game was perfectly fine. I tried to tell people but no one believes me, do you?

Couldve had a virus? the PokeWalker? And like, transfer to the game. >.> Anyhow, my pokewalker works fine. And the only problem with my SS game was that I finished it, and am bored.

Holy. Freaking. Crap. Man. You just scared my freaking pants off. How does a person do that sort of thing? That HUGE hack. And I lost my pokewalker once, too. I started thinking, they should really make replacements. But I found it the next morning, covered in grassy dew. I was camping, so I would have lost it forever.

Original StorySuper creepy Pokémon hackI stumbled on this unsettling story of an obscure Pokémon bootleg/art-hack that I thought might be neat to share on here. I think this originated from 4chan, so I’ve no idea if this hack actually exists. It probably doesn’t, but it’s still a great concept/tale!: I’m what you could call a collector of bootleg Pokémon games. Pokémon Diamond & Jade, Chaos Black, etc. It’s amazing the frequency with which you can find them at pawnshops, Goodwill, flea markets, and such. They’re generally fun; even if they are unplayable (which they often are), the mistranslations and poor quality make them unintentionally humorous. I’ve been able to find most of the ones that I’ve played online, but there’s one that I haven’t seen any mention of. I bought it at a flea market about five years ago. Here’s a picture of the cartridge, in case anyone recognizes it. Unfortunately, when I moved two years ago, I lost the game, so I can’t provide you with screencaps. Sorry. The game started with the familiar Nidorino and Gengar intro of Red and Blue version. However, the “press start” screen had been altered. Red was there, but the Pokémon did not cycle through. It also said “Black Version” under the Pokémon logo. Upon selecting “New Game”, the game started the Professor Oak speech, and it quickly became evident that the game was essentially Pokémon Red Version. After selecting your starter, if you looked at your Pokémon, you had in addition to Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle another Pokémon — “GHOST”. The Pokémon was level 1. It had the sprite of the Ghosts that are encountered in Lavender Tower before obtaining the Sliph Scope. It had one attack — “Curse”. I know that there is a real move named curse, but the attack did not exist in Generation 1, so it appears it was hacked in. Defending Pokémon were unable to attack Ghost — it would only say they were too scared to move. When the move “Curse” was used in battle, the screen would cut to black. The cry of the defending Pokémon would be heard, but it was distorted, played at a much lower pitch than normal. The battle screen would then reappear, and the defending Pokémon would be gone. If used in a battle against a trainer, when the Pokéballs representing their Pokemon would appear in the corner, they would have one fewer Pokéball. The implication was that the Pokémon died. What’s even stranger is that after defeating a trainer and seeing “Red received $200 for winning!”, the battle commands would appear again. If you selected “Run”, the battle would end as it normally does. You could also select Curse. If you did, upon returning to the overworld, the trainer’s sprite would be gone. After leaving and reentering the area, the spot [where] the trainer had been would be replaced with a tombstone like the ones at Lavender Tower. The move “Curse” was not usable in all instances. It would fail against Ghost Pokémon. It would also fail if it was used against trainers that you would have to face again, such as your Rival or Giovanni. It was usable in your final battle against them, however. I figured this was the gimmick of the game, allowing you to use the previously uncapturable Ghosts. And because Curse made the game so easy, I essentially used it throughout the whole adventure. The game changed quite a bit after defeating the Elite Four. After viewing the Hall of Fame, which consisted of Ghost and a couple of very under leveled Pokémon, the screen cut to black. A box appeared with the words “Many years later…” It then cut to Lavender Tower. An old man was standing, looking at tombstones. You then realized this man was your character. The man moved at only half of your normal walking speed. You no longer had any Pokémon with you, not even Ghost, who up to this point had been impossible to remove from your party through depositing in the PC. The overworld was entirely empty — there were no people at all. There were still the tombstones of the trainers that you used Curse on, however. You could go pretty much anywhere in the overworld at this point, though your movement was limited by the fact that you had no Pokémon to use HMs. And regardless of where you went, the music of Lavender Town continued on an infinite loop. After wandering for a while, I found that if you go through Diglett’s Cave, one of the cuttable bushes that normally blocks the path on the other side is no longer there, allowing you to advance and return to Pallet Town. Upon entering your house and going to the exact tile where you start the game, the screen would cut to black. Then a sprite of a Caterpie appeared. It was the replaced by a Weedle, and then a Pidgey. I soon realized, as the Pokémon progressed from Rattata to Blastoise, that these were all of the Pokémon that I had used Curse on. After the end of my Rival’s team, a Youngster appeared, and then a Bug Catcher. These were the trainers I had Cursed. Throughout the sequence, the Lavender Town music was playing, but it was slowly decreasing in pitch. By the time your Rival appeared on screen, it was little more than a demonic rumble. Another cut to black. A few moments later, the battle screen suddenly appeared — your trainer sprite was now that of an old man, the same one as the one who teaches you how to catch Pokémon in Viridian City. Ghost appeared on the other side, along with the words “GHOST wants to fight!”. You couldn’t use items, and you had no Pokémon. If you tried to run, you couldn’t escape. The only option was “FIGHT”. Using fight would immediately cause you to use Struggle, which didn’t affect Ghost but did chip off a bit of your own HP. When it was Ghost’s turn to attack, it would simply say “…” Eventually, when your HP reached a critical point, Ghost would finally use Curse. The screen cut to black a final time. Regardless of the buttons you pressed, you were permanently stuck in this black screen. At this point, the only thing you could do was turn the Game Boy off. When you played again, “NEW GAME” was the only option — the game had erased the file. I played through this hacked game many, many times, and every time the game ended with this sequence. Several times I didn’t use Ghost at all, though he was impossible to remove from the party. In these cases, it did not show any Pokémon or trainers and simply cut to the climactic “battle with Ghost. I’m not sure what the motives were behind the creator of this hack. It wasn’t widely distributed, so it was presumably not for monetary gain. It was very well done for a bootleg. It seems he was trying to convey a message; though it seems I am the sole receiver of this message. I’m not entirely sure what it was — the inevitability of death? The pointlessness of it? Perhaps he was simply trying to morbidly inject death and darkness into a children’s game. Regardless, this children’s game has made me think, and it has made me cry.

Master Alaric Voranth- That was awesome. I'm totally loving these stories. Was that from you, or are you just quoting a person? Again, totally cool.
And that is a great site link, by the way. It's got tons of great DS info.

Dethcluck Here's a cooler pokewalker error t all started when I lost my pokewalker for my Pokemon Heart Gold game I was depressed because I had a level 60 dragonite on it. I tried to tell people but no one believes me, do you? i remember this... its not a hack its an easter egg (And a fun one at that XD) i loved that my friend has this exact same pokewalker it shows the exact things that you described. except its HARD to beat red and Lance battle you 2 vs 1 and its HARD its almost impossible but i did it and i loved doing it so much i played it over and over till the pokewalker died T^T.

WTF is wrong with my pokewalker: now, whenever I don't put a new pokemon on it right away, a random Gloom appears on it. o_O
This is not all bad: pretty soon, i'll have an army of Glooms! twisted

Jewel XD Master Alaric Voranth- That was awesome. I'm totally loving these stories. Was that from you, or are you just quoting a person? Again, totally cool. And that is a great site link, by the way. It's got tons of great DS info. It's a creepypasta. Anyone remember the Pokemon Black one? (not to be confused with the DS game of the same name) http://hotfile.com/dl/105251347/4282be4/v.2009.s02e06.hdtv.xvid-2hd.avi.htmledit: the random Gloom appearing is normal. If you don't put a new Pokemon onto your pokewalker you'll get a random Pokemon from that course joining you. (the lowest tier, you can't get flying Pikachu this way)
