So I'll start off here. Hello everyone, you can call me Sub. I've been on the MPRILC for a few years, I was once a young teen interested in what "magical" things there were in the universe. I was probably like any other young new member in a magic guild, curious and inquisitive. "Is magic REALLY real? Can people REALLY develop psychic powers?" Now I'm the Guild Captain, and well, the fact is, I still don't know that, after all my time of being here. However, I am confident that I know a lot about belief systems, techniques of magical intent, and a load of miscellaneous information about religion in general. I am currently a college student pursuing a double major in Religion and Computer Science. Those are basically the same thing, am I right? I've been through the faiths of Christianity and Wicca, and have dabbled with ideas from other such mindsets as varied as Atheism and Discordianism. The rest about me you'll learn from my posts, but I do want to let you know that I will try to be friendly and sincere as possible with my interactions with you guys. I want you to feel welcome here.

I am Mitsh! You may call me Mitsh; it's short for Mitsh.
I've been in the MPRILC for a couple of years, and been into the occult since I was around six or seven. I got into the supernatural when, while listening to the song Eleanor Rigby from my Beatles cassette in the car, I asked my dad what a "grave" was, and from that, I somehow got into ghosts, then the paranormal, then magick wholesale (by way of Wicca).
My current stance towards the occult is one of agnosticism: there's a lot of things in the occult that haven't been or can't be proven, and, given our lack of evidence towards many of the topics that come up, I'm happy to remain "undecided" in belief. My main area of interest is magick - and again, I'm still "undecided" in whether magick is real (if indeed it can be said to be real at all, or if certain parts are real where others aren't), and I'm typically not one to force my ideology upon others, though I do feel that at least adopting a position of agnosticism is a helpful stance when discussing particular topics, as is a friendly disposition when talking to people who're being sincere in their research. My own magical practises could fall under the umbrella of chaos magick, post-modern magick and urban magick.

Hello, gents(and ladies...as well as those in between) ^^
You may call me Pink or Cam... does not really matter to me that much to be honest. I am 20.
I am currently in college, majoring in journalism. So what is it that drew me in to the occult? Its appeal, its secretiveness and a bit of morbid curiosity as to what it had to offer... not an escape route, but an alternative view of the world and life in general. Since my immersion into that world, or reality or whatever you wish to call it, I have been through various stages of involvement. Having been raised in the Catholic faith, other alternatives seemed infinitely more appealing, but I digress. Having had my share of that, I turned to analytic psychology and C.G. Jung during now my second year of college, and found a much more in-depth understanding of the human psyche and its elements. My objective is not to debunk the supernatural parts/pieces of this world, but merely integrate them to human life and its workings. For things have an order, I believe...and they follow certain patterns as do our intellects, emotions, and experiences... like a big network or nervous system. Us being, perhaps, the catalyst thereof.
There is nothing external to us. Nothing that cannot be accessed. my thoughts.
:3
Edit: I wish to strike a balance within and without. Sometimes through energy work , but mostly meditation and experimentation.

Hey, my name's Harley, but you can call me what you want. I come from England, my birthday is 29th september 1994, at school I do Law, Media studies, and Sociology. I guess i'm into this kinda stuff because of being told by my grandmother my house is haunted, but there's quite a few places new where I live that are apparently like that. I've always thought there was more to life, like we just so happened to be on a planet perfect for life, but there has to be more to life than just living it, like why do we exist, what happens after we die, but when I think about why we was created and stuff like that it feels like i just hit a wall in my own mind and I can't get anymore information on the subject. I do like to be at least a tiny bit skeptical, quite a few things in the occult just seem unrealistic and unbelievable, unprovable, or just illogical. I joined this guild and some other ones because I was hoping to find information on things, check out other peoples experiences and try to get help if it is ever required. I've only just recently become more interested again because of some personal matters, and the increased amount of experiences related to the occult I've had lately, and these dreams I have, not reccuring, but there's a person who's almost always in them and I just get a good vibe from them. You might not see me post here much, but that's because some of the stuff I'm not all that interested in or can't think of something to say, but I do read the latest posts and such. I hope we can get along, and I hope there isn't anyone who will pretty much stalk me and everything I do and then be a douche about everything.

Hey again, my name is Miranda. I go to college, I live on a farm.
I'm really interested in lucid dreaming and gnomes / brownies and the likes. I'm living on an organic vegetable farm for the summer, I'm heading back to my college town and my home in two weeks (go me) where I will study adventure education and sustainable agriculture.
Typically I drink, smoke, and party (and I work 6 days a week, 11 hours a day). So I don't come on to post much, honestly I don't know where to find the time to do it.

I'm Obscurus. You can call me Ob, Obs, or anything else within reason. I'm 23, male, and I'm one of those uneducated people from the Southern United States. I'm a pretty chill person unless you decide to be disrespectful or unreasonable and then I'll troll the ever-loving ******** out of you if I see my responses bother you. I like to think that's just good Netiquette.
I've been interested in the "supernatural" since I was a child and I only seriously got into the occult when I was around sixteen or so; old enough to drive to the store and buy my own books. Eclectic Neopaganism seems to be the avenue that most of us have come here by and that's no different for me. Since then I've branched out a lot, including spending a couple of years studying alchemy. My current area of interest and expertise is in parapsychology and psi. I have an interest in science, asking questions, and solving problems. I believe that there is something to all of this magic/occult/psychic business and it deserves to be studied and understood as best as it can be.
I apologize in advance for making threads that no one gives a s**t about because they're too technical or too specialized.

Hi, I'm Ariadne Burrows. Some people call me Rose, but others make fun of the fact that my name is a sentence. I'm a 20 year old theatre major at a liberal arts college, but I have a deep-seated obsession with magic and science. For pretty much all of my life I've been into lucid dreaming. My most recent accomplishment has been acquiring the ability to taste smoke (as in, a cigarette) within the dream. Scent is the last sense I have to acquire. One of the most lucid experiences I've had involved solving a math problem I failed to figure out in my waking hours. I (try to) keep a daily dream journal in which I analyze the symbols with an array of dream dictionaries I have. Recently, I've been experimenting with using Fotamecus to make class time pass by more quickly. Baby steps, baby steps... I'm new to this guild and to Gaia in general, so I'd appreciate any advice you all have smile

Hi, My name is Kathrine but people call me Kitty 3nodding
I am 15 years old and am still a student in the arts of magick.
I got my start in magick when I watched movies like The Craft and such. I wanted to know if it was real or not so I looked online for information and found a lot of stupid stuff. It was when I found my master that I started actually learning how magick really works.

I don't know what drew me back. But hell. I see some old faces.
I'm Blind. I'm 23 and I am a long way from when I started out on here. I've gone from atheist, to Buddhist, back to atheist again but none the poorer from the experience. I am interested in the supernatural simply because if there is something that lacks clarity and explanation, I wish to be the one attempting to come up with the logic that dictates its mechanics.
I am currently studying for my PhD in Material Culture and the Built Environment, currently holding a Masters in Social Anthropology with a specialty in environmental behaviours and transnationalism. But what started me out in this field of knowledge and research was my interest in the occult, ritual, myth and magic (I'm sorry guys, but if everyone in my discipline writes it with a C, then so will I to continue forcing habit). If I had my way I'd still be studying that. I wrote extensively upon the practice of witchcraft accusations, the social function of magic and ritual, plus the purpose of myth and tales in the construction of communal narratives, but there was no way I was going to get funding to study beliefs in bloodsucking witches in the rural areas of Mexico when it has become a de facto warzone. I want so much to discover the purpose of mysticism, be it truth or construct. But it was not to be.
So instead I peer at English folks in London suburbs, writing case reports for both affluent and poor areas so that we might determine how some spots become more successful than others for a handsome stipend and some letters before my name .... wondering what might have been.
