こんにちは！
I felt it would be nice to have a topic dedicated to just chatting. Here you can chat about anything you like, the only rule is that you try to stick to Japanese as much as possible. This way you can practice making coherent sentences and applying what you've learned into a conversation.

こんばんは、みんはさん！
私はすずです。アメリカから来ました。本当に日本語をならいたいですけど私の学校にクラスがありません。それで、まいとしの夏にほんごの(language immersion camp)にいきます。なまえは森の池です。森の池はよんかいめです。でも、らいねん私は大学にいかなくてはいけませんからことしの夏は私のさいごでした。それで、てつだいがほしいんですが。

私はあまりかんじが分かりません。
I don't know many kanji.
[わたし 私, わ 分]
かなでかんじを書きますもいいですか。
Would it be alright to write the kanji in kana
[か 書]
(Though that could get kind of messy...)
思っているだけです。

[edit: because then we could easily look up the kanji we don't know in the post]
