True love is the greatest thing in the world. Even if one doesn't find it the first time, having children is a part of life, something the Stars knew even back in Dreamspace. Sooo, I'm presuming you have a pair of Stars ready for little ones of their own, such as most species want.
Keep in mind, while a stallion may breed immediately after impregnating the mother if they are not bonded, but please do not make this a habit, or it may change! The mare may not have more children until her current offspring are adults.

1. Breeding costs are 5k per unedited Star, 10k per edited Star. Which means that a pair where only one parent is edited costs a total of 15k.
2. The amount of foals born in each breeding is all up to chance. The herding, and bond of a pair [through RP] greatly increases the chance of a larger number of foals. However, larger foalings have occurred, even among spontaneous pairs.
3. Spontaneous pairings are pairings that have not been RPed or where parents are neither in a herd nor lifemated. If both adults are owned by the same person in a spontaneous breeding, the breeding will result in 1 foal. Spontaneous pairings of different owners will result in 2 foals, but 1 may be kept by each owner.
4. Herded, which includes Stars that are not in herds but ARE RPed, may result in up to 1 extra foal; the maximum amount of foals kept by each owner is 1.
5. Lifemated pairs also add up to 1 extra foal, with the maximum amount of foals that may be kept by each owner being 1.
6. It is rumored that elders and herd leaders may have up to 6 foals, but this is very rare. The circumstances under which 6 foals would occur are situations in which at least one parent is an elder or a herd leader, given that either would qualify as "herded", and the pair is lifemated...not to mention, even then, it is no absolute guarantee.
7. Foals that are not kept by the owner may be gifted away, given back to the shop for gifting, or sold or evented away with shop permission. You may not sell extraneous breeding foals by yourself.
8. Breeding slots may be won from flatsales, raffles, flaffles, gifts, or events. Adults entered must be at least two weeks as adults OR be two weeks old from cert date.
9. If you win, send a trade to the mule with the colorist's name and the names of the parents in the title.
10. You may only win TWO (2) breedings per month. No more. These include mock breedings, crack breedings, and traditional breedings. These include wins from ALL staffers. Please bear this in mind. Coloring and managerial staff will absolutely enforce this rule.

exclaim NEW RULE~! exclaim
It is possible to breed two Stars of the same gender. However, in the case of a same sex breeding, BOTH parents MUST wait until all their foals are grown before they can breed again. It is a full-time commitment, and it is assumed that same sex pairs will put more time and effort into their arrangements and foals.

exclaim NEW RULE~ exclaim
Lifematings may only be broken if one of the owners is inactive in any kind of RP for at least 6 months. The decision to break a lifemating must be voluntary on the part of the person breaking the lifemating, and confirmed by a post from the RP staff for the shop. This is not to be abused just as an excuse to get your Star a sexier mate. This is meant as a way to get your Star a more active mate, if you so choose and feel you so require such.

exclaim NEW RULES~ exclaim
To qualify for herded breedings, you MUST present at least ONE (1) PRP in which the herded parent is RPed. This is to keep the abuse of herd benefits down to a dull roar. An RP is NOT, ABSOLUTELY NOT, TWO POSTS OR LESS. Staff will be checking, and forms will be modified to fit this.
Also, if you include throwbacks, please list ALL throwbacks, or none. IDC how fugly some of the ancestors are. A competent and considerate colorist will be able to work with the expanded amount of "genetic" data to turn the "fugly" or otherwise unattractive into something beautiful. Please, encourage this. If you really, REALLY hate the results, and the results are not done properly as per what was in your breeding form, please see below.
It is possible to request a breeding be redone if it can be proven that the breeding was not what you asked for on your breeding form and does not conform to any limitations or lack thereof presented when you won this breeding. For example, if you won a slot in an unedited breeding raffle when the parents are edited, I'm sorry, that cannot be redone. If you won a slot in a breeding raffle when the parents are edited, and the foals come out completely unedited, you may request the breeding be redone from scratch. If the kids look NOTHING like the family line, or have traits/colors/markings that should be there and aren't, or shouldn't be there and are for absolutely no reason, these are also grounds for a redo.
When posting for a redo in the redo thread, please include the breeding form and a link to your win, so we can do all kinds of verifications to make sure things were/were NOT followed properly.
Colorists are no longer allowed to CC their own breeding pairs in their own Breeding slots at all! They are, however, allowed to enter them, giving them the chance that they will be rolled fairly by the RGN!

Lifemate breaking outside of RP (where both owners don't RP) must be consensual. The two Stars with the broken lifemate will also be unable to enter breedings for 6 months afterwards.
