Nightshade was walking through the swamps, absentmindedly following a moth that was trying to find somewhere safe to land. Why did these creatures fascinate her so, throughout almost all stages of their life? Finally the moth landed on a branch at about eye level to Nightshade. Watching it munch on some leaves, she slowly fell into a trance, a trance not broken because of how silent this part of the swamp was.
Where were all the other Kimeti that inhabited the swamp? She wouldn't know, they usually avoided her. Not like it mattered, she found entertainment in small things, such as watching caterpillars grow into moths.

Light stomped his way through the swamp. He wasn't loud though, the wet grass absorbing the sound of his hooves, yet was left steaming in his wake. He wasn't actually on fire, he was just abmormally warm, he always was. He kept storming his way past trees and water spots, almost blind in his rage.

In the silence, the coming racket seemed louder than it should have been. It sounded like something was stomping around. Nightshade, kind of afraid but also curious, shooed away the moth before it got hurt. Once it had flown away, she turned in the direction of where the sound was coming from...
Only to find a rather angry buck. Sighing with relief, she let go some of her tenseness, but still stayed alert. Stepping back a little, Nightshade asked, "What's the matter?" She couldn't help but wonder, with him stomping around and the like.

He started slightly at the sound of another voice, looking to find a dark doe watching him. His anger flared anew at the realization that someone had been watching him in his angry outburst. His eyes narrowed to glare at the poor doe.
"Do I look funny to you? Have I amused you? Did I look like some foolish foal throwing a temper tantrum? I assure you I will not be mocked!!" He accused her, stalking towards her, fully intent on scaring the poor thing.

It took all the courage in Nightshade's body to keep the tears that had welled up in her eyes from spilling over. Blinking them back, she turned away, scared and angry at the buck. She was just trying to be comforting. How was she mocking him?

When she turned away, he almost smiled in triumph, but he felt bad. She wasn't the cause of his anger, and he could have seen her there if he looked over. He sighed and then mumbled, "I'm sorry." He really was, he hadn't meant to make her cry, and it was slightly obvious to him that she was about to.

Wiping an escaped tear on her shoulder, Nightshade nodded. "It's alright. What's gotten you so angry?" she asked, once she could get a hold on her voice. Turning to the buck, she noticed that the moth had landed on him, of all places. Maybe it liked the warmth coming off his body. Smiling a little, she glanced from him to the moth.

He had the decency to look down. He shuffled his feet, "I...a branch hit me in the face..." It seemed a silly reason to him now, but at the time he had gotten so angry. He glanced up at her, hoping she wasn't laughing at him.

In the back of her mind, Nightshade was thinking that getting hit in the face by a branch was an absolutely ridiculous reason to get angry. Especially like that. Smiling at him, she brushed his nose and said, "Well, everything appears to be intact. I think you'll make it," she said in a joking tone, letting out a giggle.

Light blinked. Had she touched him? He snorted, trying to quash the rising anger he felt at the invasion of his personal space. Also, she was laughing at him, which made his anger all the harder to control. "Yea...well....," He didn't really have anything to say to the doe, though he wanted to bite her for laughing and making fun of him. Again he snorted, as if that would get his point across...that is if he had one.

When she noticed he was getting angry at her for her concern (regardless of how strange it was) and when she'd only picked at him a little, it made her blood boil. Glaring at him, she turned away, continuing to watch the giant moth. Why was he so quick to anger anyways? It looked like the ground was about to burn up under his feet.
