King of Wolves, Ace
The past seemed to consume him and every part of him wished he could change things. Wished he could turn back the hands of time and change the way things had gone. He couldn’t be with her anymore and that was that. It was a simple decision one that had saved her life but left him in the shadows of his own mind. How could he possibly live without her at his side? He had made the decision to leave for they were two different people from two different worlds. He a demon and she was a human.
“Why why did he leave?” asked Sarah as she stared out the window of her little house. It was your everyday average small house with a kitchen, bedroom, and a bathroom. There was only one thing missing Ace. Ace had come to her from the forest and how they met was sometimes as shocking to her as it was to him.
She had been surrounded on all sides by demons. Furious hungry demons that wanted to kill her. A giant wolf had come to her rescue and not just a wolf, a silver one. The wolf returned to human form and offered his hand to her.
“My lady.” He smiled helping her up. She had looked to him. His eyes were green his hair was white but his heart was pure. There was no evil about this demon. This wolf had saved her and she would repay him anyway she could. It wasn’t even two weeks when he said he had to leave her or she would be in danger of more than just demons. He explained to her how he was the king of his clan and even though he was pure, others of the clan would strike her first chance they had and then there were the demon hunters. He couldn’t risk his clan’s location being revealed so he never could take her there. Ace had decided to leave her to the local village and told her there were plenty of normal men she could marry instead of him.
Sarah couldn’t just let it end like this. She loved Ace. If it was puppy love she didn’t care. She wanted to be with him. Wanted to be his mate and even if it meant risking her life she would. No matter what she would find him and bear his child. She loved him and no human could replace him for he had saved her not only from the demons but from death as well. A demon something she never expected to help her had helped her and the first thing she had to do was find him. Find him and tell him she wasn’t leaving him.
Ace had returned to his clan where his six year old son greeted him kindly as he entered. Brett was his youngest son and the baby of the family.
“Have you had a good day?” asked Ace getting down and picking him up and putting him on his shoulders.
“Yes, papa Rayden and David took me hunting with them today.” Smiled Brett as they entered the inner part of the clan where only royalty was allowed. Ace took Brett into his den and sat him down.
“Did you see anything interesting while you were hunting?” asked Ace looking down to him. He had never understood why Brett’s mother had died, and now he was part of his clan. Ace loved him and wanted him to be everything he could be and more.
“Yes, papa we saw humans and lots of them too.” smiled Brett as if this was a game.
“Is that so?” asked Ace. Humans, lots of them, only one thing it could possibly be, demon hunters.
“Yep, but Rayden and David told me they were dangerous and that I should never ever talk to a human.
“I see all right. Go on and play.” smiled Ace. Later on in the night he went to see Rayden and David. They were the strongest of the clan. Rayden was their fastest chaser and David was very muscular build. They were both about six feet tall. They were the only ones who came close to what Ace was. He was the king of all wolves but most of all he was a silver wolf. Silver wolves were very rare and hunted every minute of every day for their fur but it wasn’t just the fur that made them so rare. Ace had something no one else in the clan did. The ability to cast spells using a scroll. It had been given to him by his grandfather. Ace had been chosen as the one to carry on the legacy of the silver wolves and now it was Ace’s turn to give his scroll to one of his clan. He hadn’t decided who yet but somehow he knew when he saw him or her he would know for sure.
Brett had run off by himself outside of the clan and suddenly a human stood before him a female.
“Hello little one.” smiled Sarah seeing his beautiful silver ears. Sarah looked for a tail like Ace had but this one had no tail like Ace.
“Have you seen a large wolf with ears like yourselves?” asked Sarah. Brett tried to run but she held his shoulders firm.
“I asked you a question.” demanded Sarah. She didn’t want to pick on a kid but his ears, the eyes, the similarity between this boy and Ace. There had to be a connection. The thing that concerned her most was the long black hair that flew down his back like silk. Ace’s hair was silver was it possible that this boy might be his son? She wanted to ask him more questions. Suddenly out stepped Ace the person she had come looking for.
“Brett please step back.” Declared Ace looked to her and growled.
“I told you I had to leave.”
“I love you.” cried Sarah.
