Introduction ....... [x] Nestled within the foot of the mountains lies a tunnel that runs deep within the rock face. It leads to a small piece of land that houses Kouji's current family and pack, as well as the azure wolf himself and his navy-pelted mate. Their leader, Ieshia, has agreed to house those that wish to join Kouji's, Nessarose's, and Tomoyo's cause to free the Tian Tang pack.
Due to their growing numbers this is prooving to be necessary, for a large gathering of wolves in the open in the freelands is sure to draw attention or cause unwanted tension. The makeshift band of fighters, strategists, familiars, and spies are patiently waiting and building their plan in hopes of striking during the spring season while Chen's horde is distracted by the celebration of the new season. It will hardly be a time to celebrate, not for those that are holding their own prisoner. There are many a wolf in the Shaoilin Forest whose blood boils at the mere mention of enforced repression and tyranny. They have pledged to fight for the cause for many different reasons. Many wolves and other woodland creatures alike joined together for one cause: To free those that cannot free themselves, and to restore peace to the humid paradise of Tian Tang.
They have come to be called the Freedom Fighters.Members ....... [x] Wolves:

Pack Initiation ....... [x] The following wolves/familiars are credited with official one on one Initiation:
Jaxom Acelyn Cyrus Leidolf Zedekiah Duhka (and Lancaster) Didarabocchi
It goes without saying that these wolves should be roleplayed as if they have met Kouji and Nessa. ^_^ Generally the alphas are at a point where they will put more trust in the wolves above than in newer recruits. (This just means that if you're a newer recruit you should be sure to meet the Alphas and try to form a relationship with one of them, especially if you're interested in having your wolf in a leadership position)
Note: If you did not create an Initiation Thread but would like to play your character as if they have met Kouji and Nessa before, you may make this clear in your post. If you chose this route your character's initiation will be counted as a brief one, not quite of the same quality as an official one-on-one initiation.
If your character is a previous friend of, or already knows Kouji, Nessa, or Tomoyo from an earlier RP, an initiation is not required (as we'll already know how our wolves react to your character), but is certainly smiled upon. biggrin
The third option is just to have your character come up to the pack by chance, or maybe having heard a rumor about a battle. The group around the Gathering Point can initiate them unofficially. Hope this makes sense!
Remember, if you missed out on the 'official initiation' opportunity, don't despair! There will be plenty of other places for your wolf to prove his/her worth. ^_^

Blue orbs gazed through the darkness that the closed all around him with little success as he trapsed through the tunnel leading to Kougi and his assembled group of fighters. His nose did most of the guiding for him and he found his way throught he mountain with little trouble. He could not lie though, being under ground was certainly a new and awkward experience. He was much happier on top of the earth instead of under it like that. Dens were fine, yes, but no den traveled so far and so deep like the tunnel had. Yep Cyrus was happy to see the sun and moon in their never ending rotating circle.
Stepping from the tunnel Cyrus's eyes adjusted to the abundant light that flooded them. Flinching for only a moment he turned his head to get a good look at the land that was secluded away from the only home he had known. The trees grew tall here but their canopies were as bare as any other tree he had passed during the cold season. Yes, though this land was nestled away mother natures grasp could not be eluded.
Moving away from the tunnel Cyrus loped through the woods carefully. Ears were pricked forward and tail hung behind him unsure of what or who he might run across. There were many scents mingled in the air but the bright pelted adolescant could distinguish the smell of the one whom he had meet in the freeland...Kouji.

Being in the tunnel, a necessary part of reaching the coalition of wolves that were going to war, was... unnerving. Duhkha had quickly decided that he wasn't particularly fond of being underground for extended periods of time like this, even though his mostly-silent companion looked perfectly calm about it.
Shaking the thought from his mind for a moment like snow from fur, the blood-footed wolf twitched his nose, following the distictive scent of Nessa to where he needed to be. It was a singularly bright chord of scent, as yet unstained with the life juices of creatures that were not food, and easy to follow.
When the two companions, or what passed for companions as Duhkha didn't really know how Lancaster thought of him in that aspect, finally exited the tunnel, the wolf gave himself a brief shake before heading on at a slightly slower pace. These were packlands. He had, supposedly, permission to be here in order to reach the meeting point, but that didn't lessen his nerves. Being in packlands when you were packless was not good.
For his part, Lancaster had been completely at home in the tunnels. Did he not burrow paths under the topsoil in his old homes like it, as second and third ways out? Did he not burrow them long, after the foreign two leggers had decided that foxes were good things to hunt? That tunnel had merely been bigger, and that was that. The fox did blink a little at the sunlight upon emerging, but that was also that. He allowed Duhkha to lead them, for it really was too bothersome to track the clear scent of the female they'd met if he didn't have to. And it gave Duhkha something to do to keep his mind of the depressive trends it suffered.
He was rather uncharacteristically eager to reach their destination, whatever it would be, though. The prospect of spying and scouting and secrets in war was heady and pleasing to him, so he could not help it if he kept pace with the larger wolf beside him instead of lagging behind in boredom, could he?

Silver-tipped paws stepped carefully amid bushes and trees as Leidolf moved towards the tunnel. Snow clung to his dark coat, making him look older than he was. Stopping, he shook it off. His breath rose up into the air as he looked around, pointed ears swiveling. He heard others near by, and his best guess was friend, not foe. Stepping from the brush cover, he approached where the group would gather, making his presense known to those around him.

(( Announcement: Since only a few wolves have actually shown up, I'm going to lay out this next post as if wolves are continuing to arrive. If you haven't yet posted, from now on you can RP as if your wolf is one of the wolves who has arrived when Nessa addresses the group. Or, if you'd rather, you can still type up a regular formatted entry post for your wolf arriving at the group after the general announcement. ^_^ ))
Nessa stood about ten yards from the entrance of the tunnel, just past a brief copse of woods on a small platuea, gazing over the gorgeous lands of the Mountain Grotto Pack that had agreed to harbor the fighters. Snow was still on the ground, but the heady spring breeze that filtered through her navy colored pelt instilled a sense of vigor and hope in the young shewolf, and she leaned into the wind for a moment, letting it fill her heart with a sense of purpose.
She turned as the faint tick of claws on rock alerted her of the first wolf's presence. Cyrus had arrived. She hadn't met this wolf before but Kouji had told her of his meeting with him. She smiled, moving forward to introduce herself. "Hello, friend!" She called out as she neared. "You must be Cyrus. Kouji told me of your enrollment. My name's Nessarose. It's an honor to meet you."
As Duhkha and Landcaster arrived, the female's olive green eyes twinkled with familiarity. She wuffed a hello to the pair, before letting her gaze rest on Leidolf's large form. The shewolf waited for a few moments for a couple more wolves to filter out of the tunnelface, dipping her muzzle graciously to each one.
"Welcome, all!" Nessa intoned in a pleased contralto. "I'm so glad to see you here. Kouji's on his way, he should arrive in a moment." She ambled a step forward, her spring green gaze sweeping over the wolves in front of them. She was so glad to have them here, so proud that these wolves, some of which she hardly knew, would stand up to fight for a cause they believed in. "Some of you I recognize. For those of your I'm less familiar with, I'm Nessa. Over the next few days I hope to learn much more than your names." She finished warmly.
"Once we've all arrived, we'll be making our way to the South West. Until then, Ieshia, the leader of the Mountain Grotto Pack has agreed to house us in her lands." She motioned with her muzzle to the magnificent view behind her. "As you can see, we're very lucky." She said, her eyes lit with a gentle mirth. Nessa had grown since the recruitment process. At last, she was completely at peace with the idea of a battle. She would do whatever she could for Kouji, for the wolves around her. She would give anything she could give when the fighting finally came. Until then, she would enjoy life as she could. She fervently looked forward to meeting those around her in a more personal context.

((Tweek!: Editted "Mountain Valley" to say "Mountain Grotto" to avoid confusion with Feanaro's troupe. xd ))
Kouji was just speaking of the plans with Suzaku as the others began to arrive. As a swell of new and familiar scents drifted his way, however, Kouji politely excused himself and turned to make way for where Nessa waited. He needed and wanted to be there to greet all of those kind souls that had volunteered to help with he and his beloved mate's cause.
He emerged from the treeline's shadows, strolling at a well measured pace, a quick step. As he drew nearer the light caught his azure pelt and blindingly white markings, bringing him to seem very much like an emblem of justice itself as he stepped up beside Nessa. He greeted her with an apologetic murmer and a gentle nudge to her muzzle with his own. "Sorry to keep you waiting, airen."
His golden eyes then roamed without distraction. There were already two wolves that Kouji had spoken with privately, Leidolf and Cyrus, and he recognized Duhka as well. The more timid lone wolf had picked up a companion since last he was in these lands. Kouji's sense of gratitude was peaked. Not just wolves intended to help them.
"I'm sure that Nessa has already greeted all of you, but I extend my welcome as well, and my gratitude. I never imagined there would be so many kind strangers gathered in one forest.
"Please make yourselves comfortable. We'll fill you in on what you should know once enough of us have gathered."
Having said this now Kouji turned fond eyes to the female at his side again. Secretly he knew that he wasn't doing this just for himself or just his family. He wanted to assure that Nessa, and any children they had, would have a safe place to flourish happily. He couldn't give her everything... she'd had to give up her father to stay with him, and that was something that Kouji felt torn on still to this day. He'd never hd much of a happy relationship with his own sire, he didn't want anyone else to have such a fate, but especially not Nessa and their offspring.
----
There was a second shadow that made itself known as Tomoyo moved to stand poised behind the two young adults. The Matriarch of the heir to Paradise, she did not much resemble her son but in the shape of their markings and the stark contrasting white of their pelts that simultaneously gave off a soft sort of glow where it met with the azure-blue or cherry-red.
Tomoyo, unlike the others, kept silent, simply offering her warm support from the sidelines.

Tawny ears flickered as the young adult padded stiff-legged and deathly silent through the foreign woods. It didn't take long for the jagged rock face to emerge from the midsts of the trees as its opening acted as a landmark for his destination.
This was it.
Yeilding as he approached the opening, Jaxom, and even his surroundings, held his breath and sighed when a breath escaped from his maw. Underlying the rythem of his quickened heartbeat, the rustling of the dried leaves underfoot, the passing winds murmur in the bows above took a strange melody, somewhat haunting in a musical way.
Stopping just at its entrance, he looked back at the way he had come. He was leaving everything behind and forging a new future for not only himself but for those he was to liberate with the other wolves whom had chosen to battle alongside Kouji and Nessa. "Just beyon the tunnel lies a new destiny," he softly remarked as the wind caressed against his fur, bristling it upwards in a slightly jagged array. Drawing his sights back onto the tunnel, Jaxom began on his way and slowly immersed himself within the bleak darkness.
The darkness that engulfed him was thick; his emerald orbs weren't a successful asset in comparison to his nose. A chilling sensation trailed up his spine as he supressed a shiver. He wasn't so fond of treking underground and, hopefully, this would only be his last time. In the distance, a sole light broke through the darkness, a welcoming beacon to confime that he had reached his destination.
Emerging from the tunnel, Jaxom shook his head and squinted his eyes. Slowly, as his eyes adjusted, his very breath seemed to be wisked away from him. From transitioning from the congregated woods of Shaoilin to these secluded hideaway, Jaxom found himself to be at home. He had always been a solitary wolf for most of his life and he had always embraced the solitude and peace that such a place could offer him. But even though he was seen as "vagabond", it never was dull when he stumbled across a new land.
Peering towards the right as the last words from both Nessa and Kouji faded, he padded closer. From assumption he could only determine that he was well...fashionabley on time, as some say. But he had made it and, for now, he could at least be at ease.
Slowly the tawny and carrot hued male made his way to where both wolves and other honorable fighters congregated. As his orange tipped tail swayed behind him, emerald orbs gleamed with warmth and exhileretion as he slowly made his way into the crowd.

Duhkha remained attentive during the time when Nessa and Kouji spoke. He recocnized the male from his brief visit to this place, when Whisper had invited him into her pack. He didn't regret leaving, though he had nothing against this place, or pack hood. He hadn't been ready.
He responded to the look Kouji passed over him with a shy smile. He was not, and probably never would be, really over his timidity.
The rest of the wolves gathered here, save Nessa, who also recieved a smile, were glanced over by the red-legged male. He wasn't.... too incredibly nervous, even though crowd could and did make him squirm. They were here to help, right? So he shouldn't be nervous.
Still, old habits were hard to break. He'd simply have to deal with it.
Unlike Duhkha, Lancaster gave no cursory once-over to their compatriots. He spent time examining them, even the newcomer. He'd have to remember them, after all, when the fighting began, so he would not bite them by mistake. He wanted no 'getting to know them over time'. Although... such an endeavor was not wasteful. The alliances this war would forge would be useful later on.
So, Lancaster but his best foot forward, and made a friendly face. It could not hurt. After all, all this promised to be exciting.

Emerald orbs were cast round about as it seemed that the congregation of wolves and fellow patrons for the battle that was under way, soon to commence when time had ripened for the first attack to be dealt. Rather than acting like another face in the crowd, Jaxom couldn't let himself just wade idly through. He had to get to know those around him as, after all, they would be enduring the trials of battle and close encounters with death.
As his orange tipped tail swayed behind him in a jubilant motion, his gaze was caught as a fox stepped forward with a warm smile set upon his maw.
He never had really had encountered a fox before- well, not up close. Back home, foxes and other roaming creatures were scarce as many of them had retreated back to the woods and away from the mountains as they had learned all too well of mankinds destrution and blackhearted ways.
Though he was somewhat puzzled on how to approach a fox, he imgained him as just another wolf...which this would also give him more reasons to work on his introductions.
"Hello," he greeted as a replicated, friendly smile spread wide across his maw. "Name's Jaxom, friend. What's yours?" His head tilted slightly as his typical, curious nature began breaking through.

Huh. Another wolf who did not seem to have a superior attitude totally misfounded on size. This place seemed to be a wellspring of them.
Satisfied with the greeting, blue eyes crinkling a little at the edges thanks to his smile, he continued his expression. "I am Lancaster." He spoke brokenly, because after all, wolf was not his native language, but he supposed he was understandable. "You are here, as well, to help." A statement more than a question.
Duhkha stood quietly nearby where Lancaster had left him, observing the two. He was relaxing, slowly but surely... unlikely enough, because of the conversation the fox and wolf were holding. Lancaster was famous, to him, for thinking himself above wolves despite his distate for the same thoughts from those 'below' him. He was relieved Lan seemed to be taking leave of that behavior.. at least for now.

His orange tipped tail swayed behind him in a jubiulant motion as his soft, emerald eyes peered down towards the fox. "An honor to meet you, Lancaster."
Trying to piece the broken fragments of speech and sentence to his best ability, the tawny and carrot colored male didn't find it too complicated though it did take him some a few moments to compose exactly what he was to speak of in a manner that the fox would easily comprehend.
"Yes," he replied with a simple nod of his head. "I'm here to help Nessa, an old friend."
Jaxom couldn't help but let his gaze drift towards the nearby wolf, somewhat presuming that, perhaps, he was acquainted with the fox to some degree. Still, if he was to fight alongside both wolves and courageous creatures, he wanted to make sure that he kept on good terms and ties with all.
Besides, you never did know what to expect in the heat of battle and, many times, you would need to call upon another for aid.
His ears perked upwards as he inclinded a friendly smile towards the young adult.
"Hello there."
