Beyond Evan, have you ever been on a real date? By modern terms, I mean.

Once with Dameon Mulciber.. I suppose it could be considered a date.

*Increases the pace again, her labored breathing leaving her face flushed and lined with sweat; her bare feet thump audibly on the treadmill* How did that go?

You ought to slow down... Going faster doesn't make you lose weight any faster than walking...
stare
...It was uneventful. We were best friends.

I'm enjoying it. *Flashes a grin* I'll stop when I'm not enjoying it anymore.
I dated a friend once. When I was studying to be a healer, I ran into him at a library; I was researching muggle methods of surgery, he was looking up documents to help sue someone who didn't deserve it. Dirty lawyer, you know the type. *Sticks her tongue out* Well, we got into an argument over it, and during the bickering I found out he dated a friend of mine, so we let things cool and ended up calling her to go out. He dated her for two years, and was always inviting me out with them after that, and we got close. When she passed away, we drew closer, and he helped me through a lot of rough crap in university. *Pauses, wiping sweat from the back of her neck* He was my best friend for a long time. We ended up discussing dating, and that's how Dolly, my daughter, came along.
Of course the shithead doesn't contribute to the parenting and always forgets her birthday... A zebra's more likely to change its stripes to spots than he is to being anything but a filthy snake in the grass. *Grins, not sounding bitter, but instead deeply amused*

You're rather light-hearted about all of it...
*Settles back against the wall, closing his eyes to rest them*
Years of practice make you that way?

That, and a lot of meditation and prayer. *Pauses long enough to turn the treadmill setting down to a more relaxed pace* Dolly changed my life.
