Hanu chuckled, still stroking her fur. "That would be my sister, yes. And I'd say you're a very nice apprentice. In fact, I'd say that you're close to perfect! I was afraid, before you met Rhiket, that the two of you might end up as rivals... but you've bonded so quickly!
"Once Rhiket is better," he continued in a softer tone, "we'll all have to go to the Market. After we finish up with a little bit of business - you two need to meet some very important people - then I'll treat the two of you to some sweets..."

Rhi looked up at his mentor, and gave a soft squeak. That sounded nice. The market. And treats! He slipped from his basket, and padded shakily over to his sister, sitting down by her, and lashing his tail just slightly. He leaned against his sis, and sighed softly, slipping from a sitting position to a laying one. It was easier to breathe this way.

Magdalene purred softly and grinned cheekily.
"Whassa rival? An' I like sweets! I think Rhiket does too, he came out soon's you mentioned 'em..."
The Uluen giggled softly and then tilted her head as she looked up at Hanu.
"Who do we hafta meet? Never been to the Market before."

"Rivals are people who don't get along and try to be better than the other. You two are definitely not rivals." He smiled, carefully petting Rhiket.
"Rhiket, can you try and eat some?" he suggested.
"Let's see... you two have to meet... Marseth, the book-store owner... Master Aldrasath, the apothecary keeper... and Eletherta, the woman who takes care of the ritual item store. You'll be visiting them pretty regularly as you get older, so I thought you should get to meet them now, when you aren't running errands and getting lost because of it." Hanu chuckled, remembering his own childhood. Aldrasath had been young... ish.
"And we need to pick up an item or two for the ritual that'll formally welcome you into our house."
