I'm not sure if I have ever lucid dreampt. I think a little while back I woke up, and was able to go back to sleep and keep dreaming, and since that happened I was able to control the first bit, but it wasn't much.

I've always been a lucid dreamer; my entire life.
And you know what?
It SUCKS. *Scowls*
The ENTIRE dream, from the moment it begins to the time I wake up, I know I'm dreaming; I can have independent thought from the dreams thoughts (as in, I think/do what the dream-self would think/do, but also what I would think/do), and if I truly wish to I can influence/change the dreams.
Trust me. With the way my dreams go, lucid dreaming is no blessing.
Of course, if I wanted to I could change my dreams. But little curious me, I always have to find out how things would go if I don't influence them.
So I just about never do. :p I almost always leave things up to the dreams, and simply maintain my independent thought process running alongside my dream thought process. *shrugs*

Its a blessing to me. I have cronic nightmares, ever seance I was born. Now that I can lucid dreame, if I'm lucid dreaming when the dream turns into a nightmare I can eather try to change it or wake up. I love being able to do that.

It's pretty annoying for me even trying to remember any kind of dream, but luckily I'm getting better. I've done lucid dreaming before, but only to the extent where I either manage to wake myself up from a nightmare or actually CREATE a nightmare. e.g. I dreamt I was at school playing in a rainstorm, realised I was dreaming so I thought "Whatever you do, DON'T think about tornadoes!" and lo and behold, a tornado started up in the distance heading straight for the school. I HATE THAT! gonk

I'm able to from time to time, but I have less luck remembering my dreams than I do controlling them
