Simba
a lion; now retired as king of the pride lands, he helps his daughter and son in law rule over the pride lands. father of kiara and husband of nala.

Timon and Pumbaa
a meerkat and boar; they live by the "Hakuna Matata" philosophy happily spending time with his friend Simba and all at pride rock.

Nala
a lioness; Nala was Simba's lioness childhood friend. wife to simba and mother of kiara, whom also acts as a guide to their son in law and daughter.

Rafiki
a mandrill-baboon hybrid; who lives in a baobab tree and is old and wise. He tends to speak in third person when speaking of himself.

Zazu
a feisty Red-billed Hornbill; who acts as majordomo the kings of the pride lands.

Kiara
a lioness; Kiara is the daughter of Simba and Nala. she is married to Kovu and is queen of the pride lands.

Kovu
a lion;Kovu is the son of Zira, and the half-brother of Nuka and Vitani. he is married to Kiara and is king of the pride lands.

Vitani
a lioness; Vitani is Zira and Scar's daughter, sister of Nuka, and half-sister of Kovu. she lives in the Outlands with the other Exiled outcasts. she now rules over the exiled lions/lionesses and dark creatures of the outlands.

Mufasa and Sarabi
a lion and lioness;acts as guides to their family and the protectors of the pride lands.

Shenzi, Banzai and Ed
hyenas; Shenzi, Banzai and Ed are a trio of villainous spotted hyenas and the loyal followers and minions of Scar. they are now ghosts reeking havoc over the pride lands with unversed.

Scar
a lion; He is the younger brother of Mufasa and the uncle of Simba. he kills his brother and tries to kill simba but fails and dies; his mate is zira. he is now a ghost reeking havoc over the pride lands with unversed.

Zira
a lioness; Zira is the mate of Scar and mother of Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu. Zira means "hate" in Swahili. She was banished to a desert-like area filled with termite mounds known as the Outlands due to her extreme loyalty to Scar, where she ruled over a pride of other lions/lionesses and dark creatures. she is now a ghost reeking havoc over the pride lands with unversed.

Nuka
a lion; Nuka is the son of Zira and Scar, older brother of Vitani, and half-brother of Kovu with a straggly black mane and seemed to be regularly tormented by termites. Nuka expressed resentment at Kovu's being Scar's heir and Zira's seeming greater affection for the younger lion. He constantly wanted Zira's approval and follows any command she gives. he is now a ghost reeking havoc over the pride lands with unversed.
