Alfred

Alfred continued to frown. Something seemed off.
"The tablets never held Suecra or Creaus, they may have assisted in sealing them but for all I know the tablets are not prisons..."
They might instead be keys.
"I've touched both and nothing happened." He commented, although at the time Suecra had not been awaken so perhaps then it did not matter.
The Gardevoir pondered this quietly, taking in the Flareon's suggestion to what may have been in those grooves.
"If that's the case we would need seventeen Espeon as there are seventeen h-"He stopped short, processing what he'd just said and slowly the pieces clicked together. It was surprising he'd not considered it before, but the tablets had not been on his mind since Solaris had come into possession of them.
Seventeen holes in the stone, seventeen relics of power all of a circular shape.
The relics had been forged from those twin tablets in the beginning and it was possible that if they were once again placed in their proper alignment that it would restore the power taken from Arceus to create the stones back to the God.
Realizing he'd been silent for the entire thought process he shook his head and turned his attention back to Epitaph.
"The tablets...does Solaris still have them? Are they, you think, safe where they are now?"
If what he figured was correct then the second the Elite found out the Espeon had both tablets they'd go to destroy them in order to 'protect' their God from what they considered corruption.

Epitaph

Epitaph smiled slightly at Alfred's on and off changes. She hoped she'd found some connection after all, though her expression changed quickly into thought at the question of the tablets being safe. Epitaph went silent for a moment, recalling what she'd spoken about with Solaris.

"Solaris... mentioned doing research on the tablets. He also mentioned the possibility of bringing them up into conversation on the next guildleader meeting if I recall correctly. I told him it would be a good idea, but no there's no promises on him doing so."
Epitaph sat up before leaning her weight back on her hind legs; her front paw at her mouth in thought. It almost felt like a trick question. Not that because of where they were, but because she didn't know how dangerous they were given their position.

Her eyes were dead set forward in her silence as she considered a few different situations.
"Safe is a strong term, don't you think? Given Solaris does have them, yes we know where they are, but the tablets themselves don't sound very safe." Epitaph was still for a moment before turning her head ever so slightly to see Alfred.

"I would assume Solaris is in his office."

Solaris? Researching? He never thought he'd hear those two words in the same sentence. It was about time that Espeon started doing something useful.
Alfred could not refraim from smiling as he continued to speak, quietly please, "Well, I suppose they'll be fine for now. The Guild of the Sun's security is pretty top notch nowadays. Just make sure he does bring them with him for the meeting."
There was no need to alarm either Epitaph or Solaris about how crucial those tablets now were.
He'd have to tell Tolin of this later.
As far as Alfred's train of thought went he felt the need to speak to the Scyther about anything of importance if only to verify what he already knew and to get a second opinion.

"Is there anything else you need? I'd be more than happy to teleport you back to the Sun Guild..."
His confidence rose slightly. Now it didnt seem like such a hopeless future, perhaps this would prove a more fruitful manner of dealing with the Elite rather than killing them.
He never did like getting blood on his hands.

Epitaph

Epitaph returned back to her four paws, feeling rather successful now as she turned to Alfred with a smile.

"Well, glad I could help then. I'll be sure to remind Solaris when he's free." She nodded. "I think that's all I'll need for now. Teleporting me back would be fine."

Alfred nodded once, standing back up to cast out his Psychic around the Flareon before teleporting her back to the Guild of the Sun, he himself stayed where he was.
Now that he had an idea what they could do he had to make sure it would work and it was the correct path.
That, unfortunately, meant he'd have to test the theory out.
Which meant he needed a Relic and the only one he knew of was Sasha's.
Well, it was a simple matter of leading her to believe he just wanted a visual and continue to pretend he had no idea that it was the real deal and that she was a member of the Elite.
Simple, simple...he was screwed if she caught on.

Tolin continued his thought from where he had left off prior to the teleport. "You still have the mind plate, correct? You may not be a part of the Eclipse line, but it's still quite potent." After all, it was made by Arceus. With or without judgment, there was a good chance it could be used as a sort of "psychic battery" for the time being.
The other option required a visit to Lady Neon. Hopefully she would be in a good enough mood to help. Another psychic might work in her place, but an Espeon would be best. Not to mention she was by far the most powerful he knew, at least presently.

The Gardevoir wobbled unsteady, not being able to see the teleport from point A to B left him rather disoriented.
"I uh...yes. It's in that sealed room where it was originally. I put it back for safe keeping."
He pointed, though slightly off, to the glass 'wall' with the small computer at the wall next to it with the screen and series of keys for inserting the password.
Alfred stepped away from the Scyther and very slowly made his way over, bumping into a table once and finally feeling his way along the wall to the keyboard.
Needless to say he would not be telling the password to Tolin. He trusted him enough, but it was safer in the mind of one rather than two.
Having memorized the keyboard beforehand he quickly tapped a series of the buttons without even facing the direction of the screen and the doors 'wooshed' open.
"...Tolin. I dont think it's going to work anyways."
He'd already given up on the idea of getting his Psychic abilities back.

Tolin watched the Gardevoir stumble forward on his own. If he had wanted support, he would have asked. He shrugged, not that Alfred would notice the gesture. "We need to try. Having you without your psychic powers is extremely risky." The further they went and the closer they got to killing Arceus, the higher the likelihood of Alfred getting attacked was. They needed to get him some kind of defense. If they couldn't get him his psychic back... he would need a guard. Right now, Alfred was the only target for the Elite. Depending on how much Sasha and the dead Onix gave off, Archer and Tolin himself may be as well.

Of course, Archer and Tolin could both handle themselves with relative ease. Alfred nearly got killed by Sasha even with psychic, though it had fizzled out mid battle. Tolin could probably escape or draw the battle somewhere more favorable and Archer had a good chance of killing anyone that confronted him.

Well, either way. Those thoughts were irrelevant until he had the plate out, so he stepped in through the doors and took the plate from inside. He held it flat against the tip of his scythe and pressed it lightly against Alfred's chest. "Try it." They really were in trouble if Alfred couldn't get his psychic back. The threat of an attack was always very, very real at this point.

Alfred frowned, reaching up to clutch the Mind Plate handed to him and then lowered his head in concentration.
His Psychic channels were usually open the second he came in contact with the plate. He'd handled it enough before to know how to tap into it, but this time the faint light that he normally had to draw out was not there or possibly it was but he could not sense it.
A few more attempts resulted in the same, he couldnt even find the Psychic energy streaming from the plate to grasp onto. Even if he could have the chances that he'd be able to hold it long enough to do anything was slim.
Finally he pushed the plate back towards Tolin without a word. The slightest motion of him shaking his head was enough.
He was a Psychic without the use of his Psychic abilities.
"I'm not going to make it to the end of this...am I." The last two words held the sense that it was a question although the Gardevoir did not state it as so.

Tolin's mouth creased to a somber frown. If Alfred couldn't pull anything out of the plate, his psychic was definitely shutting down. He had said earlier that he managed to pull some out of Orion's gemstone... was that somehow different? Or was Alfred's psychic collapsing even further? Either way, it was a bad sign. At the best case, it cut off the most convenient temporary solution.
He took the plate back and shook his head. "You'll make it to the end, Alfred. You'll be there a lot longer than that, too. I'm going to be the one greeting you when you die, not the other way around." Though as to how he would do that exactly, he didn't know. There was a few things he could already think of to do, though exactly how effective they would be was hard to say. There was at least one option to lengthen Alfred's life. There were ways to speed up getting the pendants and pages, too; though they were all very risky.
For now... it would be best to look into the Lake Trio. If he could track down one of them, it may be able to offer him some aid.

"Sure." The Psychic replied with little expression. As far as he was concerned he was already dead, and in that case there was more important things to do before the inevitable happened.
"I believe it's time for that meeting of the guildmasters. Perhaps someone else found something out that can help..."
He had almost forgotten sending out the news that information on the balance was needed. So many things had happened between then and now.
The Gardevoir frowned, knowing he'd need to find a short term solution to his Psychic-less state at least for the meeting. He didnt want his own problem coming into light and taking attention from what was happening now.

"Alright, then. Let's progress to plan B, first." In truth, the mind plate had been Plan C. It was just the easier and faster method to try, even if it would have had a lower chance of success. Placing the plate back within the room, he left to stand beside Alfred. "Seal up the room and I'll teleport us both. I do have an idea, however temporary a solution it may be." If it worked, it would give Alfred short-term access to his abilities. Or a longer access with suitable budgeting of the limited amount. Most importantly, it would allow him to travel or escape if necessary as well as keep his problem a secret.
Tolin doubted very much the Gardevoir wanted anyone to know.

Having everyone know that you were pretty much a sitting Psyduck was never a good thing.
The Gardevoir raised a hand and placed it lightly on the largest of the buttons on the keyboard near the door and the door itself slammed shut in response.
He didnt believe anything would come from this searching, if the plate didnt work then nothing would. The plate was, after all, endowed with Arceus power in a sense though the Relics were apparently much stronger.
Alfred shrugged lightly at the Scyther's determination. He'd go along with it if only to humor Tolin as he himself saw no point.
Sure, if he got something with enough Psychic power he could draw from it and maybe force a teleport or two but in the long run it wouldnt help at all.
He'd figure something out, get a cane or something.
Ugh.

Tolin placed a scythe against Alfred's arm. "Let's go then."
The two quickly and quietly disappeared, only to reappear within Lady Neon's tent.
