❀❀❀In a hasty maneuver, Jun launched himself backwards lest Shin decided to scream again. He paused to sigh. Having liked the position he was in before, he wouldn't have minded if he cold've remained with his face snuggled comfortably in between Shin Mu's supple breasts, despite the blood that had unceremoniously made itself present. The boy lifted his arm to wipe off the offending liquid from his upper lip, the blood smearing against his forearm like war paint. He spat to the side, the metallic tasting concoction having discovered his lips and mouth.

❀❀❀"Man, this sucks..." Jun quickly shifted his attention to Shin, "I'm sorry about that. So, don't freak out, okay? Don't freak out, man."

❀❀❀His heart began to beat as he scanned his surroundings. The attendants seemed slightly panicked and the enclosure appeared as if it was the only land mass in the entire area. Skies were closing in as he eyed Shin-Mu in a delicate worry. Something didn't feel right. Something was going to go awfully wrong. He had to do something to fix the entire situation, something to resolve everything he had done to this poor, poor girl. Words began to form on his lips, air slowly finding its way from his throat.

❀❀❀"... You have nice boobs?"

❀❀❀s**t. Jun just shot himself in the foot.

Fingers moist with her own blood slipped easily as he jerked away from her, leaving nothing but dark trails along his tanned skinned to mingle with the smears she'd already placed against cheeks and brow. She hadn't really been trying to hold him anyways, so he had an easy time of getting free from her. She watched him lurch back with sea form greens narrowed dangerously, brows knit and glossed lips twisted in a furious snarl. For a long moment she just sat there, staring at him while he wiped the blood from his lip.

When that crimson stained spit hit the ground she jerked, rolling back on her toes in a sudden motion that would have sent her back on her a** had she not planted a hand at her side to steadier. "Don't freak out?" Her voice was a low purr, but there was nothing even remotely friendly in her tone, let alone anything of a more seductive flavor.

Raising to her feet, she kept her hands held out from her sides. Her legs were already contaminated, but she didn't wise to further stain that dark skin if she could avoid it. He spoke again as she stared at him, and that uncertain comment made the nerves beneath one pale eye twitch violently. "Oh?" She murmured, fingers moving to touch the remaining hilt still latched to her side. Curling around the leather bound handle and lifting to free it of metallic band that cinched her narrow waist.

Lucky for him she had no intent to use the weapon on him. She held it a moment so the sun flashed against the gleaming blade before holding it out at her side, chin gracing her shoulder as she looked back at the nervous attendants. "One of you bring me Shen-yu, now." Her voice was harsh, but the attendants responded to that cold demand. One coming forward to take the blade from her hand while the other ran to kneel at her neatly folded belongings. Shen-Yu was her Dizi, her focus.

❀❀❀Shin-Mu frightened him. It wasn't the tone of her voice nor the hand on her blade, but her calm air. Something wasn't quite right. Before, she had gone into hysterics, but now she appeared to have regained the grace in her gestures. The blade shined, alarming Jun's pulse. However, time seemed to slow as her blade left her hands. Jun stood his ground.

❀❀❀Why a Dizi of all things? It was just a flute, a musical instrument he had seen occasionally being played by some of the girls in his older neighbourhood. It was harmless, hopefully an innocent little diversion from what had happened before.

❀❀❀"What? Are you going to play me a song or somethin'?" Jun kicked the grass.

❀❀❀For security's sake, the boy slipped his hand into his pocket, cupping his palm around a familiar item of his.
❀❀❀If this was some sort of trick, he'd be ready. Or so he hoped.

Her fingers were empty for the briefest of moments between when the blade was taken and the smooth length of the Dizi was touched her palm. She curled fingers around the familiar bamboo instrument and brought it around before her, grasping it in a player's grip with both hands, suspended before her, ready to play, but not yet touching her lips. The attendant retreated back with his fellows, their nervous eyes focused on the darkling noble and the source of her rage.

His question inspired a twitching of her lips, the slightest upturn into an evil little smile. "Or something." She could still feel the blood decorating her body like macabre finger paints, and her skin itched with it as it dried into a tacky film. What would have been distraction under normal circumstances was used as fuel for her focused fury. She was furious with him, for his actions, for his accidents, and for those damned cheeky comments!

The shift of his hand caught her attention like a fly tempts a spider. Sea green eyes following the movement of his arm tucked behind his back, and brows dipped, creasing above the bridge of her nose. No, she wouldn't give him the chance.

Her Dizi rose to touch gently to her lower lip and she took a deep breath, holding it for the beat of her heart as she stilled her mind and focused. Eyes twitching back up to his face, she begin to play. Not the soft, gentle music that could bring calm or exhaustion. No, this was a harsh, sporadic song like the chaotic cries of fleeing birds. Unpleasant and grating, it attacked the ear like the screams of a babe, but she hadn't woven her magic into the song yet, not yet. She wanted to watch the puzzlement and confusion chase his features before the pain.
