While I'm not currently doing commissions, I have toyed around with the idea in the past. Mostly when I draw people I do it a)for the hell of it, or b)because they interest me. I also ran a freebie art thread briefly.
I don't know if the following pictures will have any sort of order to them, but at least now you have some background.

This is the commission I ended up doing for my in-guild art auction, as many of you probably know. Although Shiva is the person who requested the piece, it's actually of her original character by the same name.
I loved the description of the character, and immidiately knew how I wanted the picture to look. I opted for a completely new style, removing all original lines in favor of pure color. I also tried out a new style for the face - more of a western comic influence - which I think works beautifully for the character. I ended up putting in much more detail than I'd planned to begin with, but I think it actually makes it more eye-catching.
Overall, this is probably one of the best pictures I've ever done. Thanks, Shiva! ^-^
