The freshly crowned Beta Nurse of Dawn-Fire sat down in waiting, listening to the sounds of the forest echo softly around her. Where is Issun? It shouldn't take so long to get here... she thought, her dark ears flattening slightly in worry for the small male wolf. She'd asked him to come with her to gather medicinal supplies for the pack in case of an emergency, and had gotten a 'Sure, I'll come along' in response to the invitation... and here she was, still waiting for Issun to show up after several minutes; she couldn't tell the time as the sun was obscured by the branches and leaves of trees far taller than herself, but she could only assume it had been a good while. She slowly got off of her haunches and turned, sighed to herself in preparation of going on ahead without Issun. It's not like I was really excited to spend some time with him or anything, anyway, she mused, a small, bitter smile falling onto her delicate face.
She could more than easily imagine Issun ditching her for some other cuter, perhaps younger girl. Part of Sakuya wasn't bothered because that sort of behavior would be typical coming from Issun, but on the other paw, she had at least expected him to have enough courtesy to tell her ahead of time if he'd made another engagement instead of making her wait for him expectantly. Their relationship had always been like that, hadn't it? Her waiting for the gold, purple, and green male half-heartedly while he blindly left her disappointed. Sakuya released a low growl of frustration that she believed would only reach her own ears. "I should have known better than to spend my time on a bug." Her words were regarding more than just the present event.

"I'm sorry, Sakuya!"
Full speed + Stationary Female + Male idiot = Oh dear....
Wide eyed and bushy tailed but not in the normal sense, more of a fearful 'thoughts of doom and beatings' sort, Issun managed to dodge the freshly named Beta. The tree however was not so lucky. Issun's shoulder slammed into the trunk of the large oak, sending shivers of pain down his spine to the tips of his claws. "That...... hurt..." He laid there for a minute, waiting for paws to stop feeling like jello. Unfortunately, he got no joy from the returning sensation. It made him remember that, oh yeah, he was realllllly late for meeting Sakuya.
"Er... Um... Sorry..." Maybe the puppy dog eyes will work for him... Maybe?
