I always love asking people this question, since there seems to be so many varied methods. For some fun, reflect and think, do you:
1. Dream in color or black and white? 2. Dream of people you know or strangers, which more often? 3. Dream in images? In words? In feelings? 4. Do people speak verbally in your dreams? Or, is it more telepathic? 5. Are things vivid, or hazy? Is there something in particular that is most clear? 6. Is there ever music in your dreams, or silence? 7. Is the dream 'you' much like the waking you? 8. Dream of twisted-reality scenes, or of an entirely different world? 9. Do dream in first-person? Third? Switch between? 10. Do you dream of being other people, or maybe just the opposite gender?
It wouldn't be fair if I didn't answer. So...
1. Very vivid colour. 2. There are always strangers in my dreams...many are 'recurring' and are no longer strangers to me. 3. I see images in my dreams, but feelings are most common. I'm often blind, or go blind later in the dream. 4. Usually, words are never said. When they are, I remember them clearly because it's so unusual. 5. The environment is crisp and clear. Events are hazy. 6. There was only music once, and it was someone singing to me. 7. The dream 'me' I think is more true in actions to who I am in waking life. 8. The scenery in my dreams, and the buildings, are a mix. Very detailed, and weird. 9. I mainly dream in third person. Goes to first when something important is happening. 10. I dream of being guys and girls equally. I don't often look like I do in waking life. I have been other people before, kind of just in their head, and sometimes bounce between people.
Feel free to answer just one, or all, or none at all! biggrin

1. Dream in color or black and white? Colour, sometimes including 'overlays'.
2. Dream of people you know or strangers, which more often? Both known and new people appear in my dreamtime, at about the same frequency.
3. Dream in images? In words? In feelings? Strong imagery, sound, and 'feel'. Occasional 'text RPG' feel.
4. Do people speak verbally in your dreams? Or, is it more telepathic? Usually strongly verbal, unless the local custom is otherwise. I've been in 'cetacean' and deepspace environments with totally different senses than human...
5. Are things vivid, or hazy? Is there something in particular that is most clear? If I'm focussed on nearby people or objects, the environment beyond them is often hazy. Focus on my environment, and the local people become sort of translucent. The focus is always vivid.
6. Is there ever music in your dreams, or silence? Usually plenty of sound, whether music, conversations, or environment.
7. Is the dream 'you' much like the waking you? Usually similar to me, though it can be a totally different person. Sometimes it's me with 'alterations'.
8. Dream of twisted-reality scenes, or of an entirely different world? Both. Alien worlds, altered 'real' world, or near-real.
9. Do dream in first-person? Third? Switch between? Switch. My 'astral casting' effect is usually 3rd, while 'local' dreaming is usually in first person.
10. Do you dream of being other people, or maybe just the opposite gender? Other 'people', definitely, but they tend to be whatever passes for 'male' in the species. 'Female' and 'shifting' gender characters are uncommon, but not unheard of.
