Description: A special star is in town and his name is Erin Karter, one of the most famous pop stars in the world of Gaia. Think a pretty boy with rocking white short hair who likes to wear open shirts to reveal his hot bod'. He has agreed to come to the GTB to stage one of the largest concerts in the world. The atmosphere is vibrant as thousands of fans crowd around the circular stage, bright lights swerving here and there to create a flashy, illuminated ring of adrenaline. There's even that fake fog surrounding the DJ platform. However, the singer and his band has decided to take a stand on the higher platform where his DJ is performing, allowing the fighters to jam it out in combat while he lets the performance of his teen voice excite the raging fans screaming all around. Several steel pillars that hold the many lights tower over the stage above up to forty feet, where more steel beams connect horizontally to create sort of a ceiling for the stage itself.

Field Measurements: The stage is a good fifty feet wide in diameter with the twenty foot tall DJ platform in its center. The base of the DJ platform is sloped. The height from the stage to the floor where the crowd is about three feet with stairs at each cardinal direction of the stage.

Ten Count Boundary: Being knocked off stage starts the ten count. The flying rule is also in effect.

Other Penalties: No harming the audience or any NPCs. If your character falls off the stage, just assume everyone backed away fast enough to avoid being hit, with security guards keeping people back. If your character somehow gets to the top of the DJ platform, which is pretty slippery, the NPCs here will get away to let you duke it out if you must.

Fight Ends: After August 5th, 11:59 PM Central

Hysteria and noise. It was all that awaited the Bayou brawler on the opposite side of that heavy, velvet drape. The screams of several thousand preteen girls erupted from the throng like a sonic boom, their shrill voices echoing painfully in his ears. Louder still was the squeals of interference and the bass that thrummed from the amplifiers above and surrounding the stage, at a decibel level that would have made Helen Keller flinch.

A disapproving grunt escaped Jace's throat, though it would be lost completely to the din, and he turned with a knotted brow to the bouncer that stood at his side. "Bum a smoke, ami?" He nearly shouted into the ebony-skinned heavyweight's ear. The tank had been one of two pulled away from duty to guard the contenders in this match, though the question of whether it was to protect or monitor the fighters was still up in the air. Any more of this ear-splitting pop mess and the Cajun thought he just might snap, easy and sudden as a finger in the jaws of the cocodrie. That would certainly keep this bouncer busy.

Benny, as the man had begrudgingly introduced himself minutes before, slid his dinner-plate sized hand into his pocket and pulled out a pack and a zippo for his charge. Jace gave his thanks, already feeling hoarse in the throat from trying to communicate over the thunder of the teenager's electronically enhanced voice as he made the segue into the repetitive and lyrically unimpressive chorus that the crowd echoed back like an army of banshees. He placed the cigarette between his lips and lit the end, faded blue-jean eyes scanning the backstage area where the even staff had instructed him to wait. So far Jace had seen no sign of another fighter, and his search for another brawny or superhuman-looking individual yielded no new results. Maybe they had the guy waiting in another part of the amphitheater. It probably would have been a good idea to learn the identity of his opponent sooner, even watch the footage from his second-round match, but the Cajun had had problems of his own to deal with, first. Namely, coming down off that aggression-high before someone had gotten hurt.

Jace passed the bouncer's things back to him and the cherry at his lips glowed, casting shadow into his travel-worn face. He thought about the nurse in the infirmary, wondered if the fingertip bruises on her neck were starting to fade. It would be a while, he figured, before she could take a needle to a patient in confidence again. A waft of smoke passed through the thin parting of the Cajun's lips, tobacco whispers clouding his vision while his thoughts drifted to the strange circumstances surrounding his last match, and the media frenzy that had followed.

The crowd's voices surged into one final, catastrophic shriek that caused Jace's gaze to flicker to the curtains. Judging by the dying notes of a guitar chord that still lingered with an electric buzz in the air, heavy with the smell of artificial fog, the pop kid was soon to be leaving the building. Wonder if he knew he was only the opening act, this time around.

The auburn-haired rogue warbled to himself in his rhythmic tone, pulling at the cuffs of his armored gloves and rolling his shoulders in a stretch, "Almo't showtime."
