Howdy, Aurrie here!
I'm helping to run the Roost while Pur is gone. :3 I love birds and I love to color, so it seems like a pretty nice deal. Doing my best to try and match Pur's style, so I hope my art pleases you! This is my little nook, where I will talk about my pidges. <3 Please don't post and have as much fun as you can!

History: Yield on Green came from a rather quiet, quaint little flock quite a ways away from the flock she resides with currently. There were farms, huge yards, livestock, you name it. Her life before Oxford and Pebble had been rather comfortable and unremarkable, if you exclude the death of her father at the claws of a tomcat, on the farm where they resided.
Her mother knew trouble when she saw it fly in on coffee colored wings. Oxford was, to her, the death of her daughter. The smooth talking male wooed Yield and skipped town as soon as Yield laid their daughter. Not only had the young pidge bred randomly with a male who had promised her the world, he was a male of another type. Her mother, as well as the rest of the flock, shunned her and as soon as she could, she left with her young daughter. Fortunately, after passing through many roosts, they came to live in Baker's flock.
Personality: Even when she was a chick, she was rather headstrong and steadfast. She usually had a clear mind and was rather sharp, so it was very out of the ordinary that she fell for Oxford. Although she was shunned by her family, she does not regret mating with the coffee male, as she loves her daughter more than anything or anyone in the world.
Her feelings are extremely guarded and it is rare that she opens up to any pidge.
Skills: She's rather adept at finding little bits of useful material and is rather bright, despite past mishaps. When her heart isn't being ground under paw, she can be a quick and clever pidge. Her time with her daughter has made her quite doting of the youngsters. Now that Pebble is gone, she has decided to be a nanny, to keep her mind busy.

Name Meaning: A place with big, black letters on yellow! The air smells good near there and you can pick tasty crumbs off the ground by the dumpster. <3

History: Waffle House led a rather peculiar life before he came to live in Happy Hour's flock! The young German Owl Pigeon had been the only child of two captive pet pigeons. Unlike his parents, he had the makings of a pidge and learned rather quickly. He had to know what made everything tick, so it was only appropriate that he became an inventor once finding a flock.
The only other creature with the two-legged pink beings that could slate his thirst for knowledge was the big, green Quaker parrot that was a family pet. The bird was loud and rather obnoxious, but Waffle fell head over paws for her at a young age and she was almost like a mother to him. She taught him about the human electronics and the human behaviors that he witnessed day to day...
And he learned to speak Quaker, instead of Pidge. His speech is poor, but he is quickly picking up on words in an attempt to stay in touch with his new flock.
Personality: Waffle House is a sharp minded fellow with a want to learn that can never seem to be satisfied. He isn't exactly well versed in survival in the wild, however. Fortunately, he hasn't run into anything that could hurt him too badly and he knows to flee if he sees a cat or dog, but in general, he is bold and fearless, only because he doesn't know any better. He'll try anything once, if only to know what exactly will happen.
Skills: Tinkering, really. He'll fiddle with human devices and has a keen knowledge on how they work. <3

Zorba the Greek
Name: Zorba the Greek
Nicknames: Zorba
Name Meaning: It's a little hole in the wall in a big building with lots of little stores in it! Good smells come from there and it serves food. The baklava is the best!

History: Zorba's life has been rather uneventful, which is just how he likes it. The nanny loves the quiet, dainty life that he has lived in Happy Hour's roost, above the church. He was hatched a little ways off to his parents, Stop and Wal-Mart, and was quickly attracted to the songs and bells of the little church and sought to make himself a member of the flock that roosted there.
He serves as the nanny and is quite pleased with that position. He adores little ones and has a fondness for his adopted daughter, On the Rocks.
Personality: He likes cleanliness, which can be a problem when watching chicks, but he handles them well and loves what he does. He doesn't like to get too dirty, but does love a romp outside of the roof once and a while. Mostly, he would rather just straighten up about the roost and gossip with the seamstresses.
Skills: He was the first nanny for Happy Hour's flock and does his job well, even though there are few chicks there at the time.

History: Red Light was hatched in the very abandoned factory that serves as Big Ma's roost and lives there to this day, proudly patrolling the grounds in an attempt to serve his flock well. He is loyal to a fault, so it killed him inside to find out that his chosen mate was a member of Baker's flock and had lied to him. He is determined to stay with her and keep things right, as well as serving his flock, yet he knows he may eventually have to make a choice between the two. He's gone from patrol to Weather Watching, taking an interest in how Dai watches the sky at night, so he does it during the day.
Personality:He is young and brash, but wants to do what is right for his flock and hopefully his future family. He thirsts for adventure and loves to mingle with other flocks, with the exception of Baker's. They are his sworn enemy. Just don't ask this klutzy fellow to hold anything valuable for you!
Skills: He has a sharp eye and is good at watching, even if his landings are really rough!

Name Meaning: It's the title of a song he heard while living over the garage.

History: The Harvest had modest beginnings in the garage space of a two-leg family, where his parents lived amongst other little birds and whatnot. They were both from Baker's flock and had studied enough to speak rather fluently with corvids, but sought a quieter start for their little ones, rather than staying on the bridge.
Harvey's start really ended up not being all that quiet, as the two-leg fledgling had taken to listening to loud music and while Harvey's mother and father hated it, the little corvid speaking pidge was fascinated. He remained there long after his parents decided to move on and only came to join Baker's flock after the two-leg family moved.
He serves as both a Whisperer and an Entertainer and keeps a stage in the neutral territory, where he works to provide music to the pidge that happen to stop there.
Personality: The Harvest is a flirt and loves the males just as much as the females, which has made keeping a steady relationship rather difficult for the young batchelor. He loves attention, practically craves it, which is part of the reason he does more than just chat with crows and whatnot. He likes to sing and mingle with other pidge. Lately he's had odd feelings for a certain other Entertainer in Baker's flock. He likes her enough to try and stop being so flirtatious with others.
Skills: He mostly performs for other pidge, but he is fluent in corvid, so can translate for others.

Name Meaning: Merry Christmas is Merry's favorite time of year, so he named himself after it!

History: Merry was hatched and raised in Half Price's flock and has witnessed first hand how the rift has grown deep and wide between both the upper and lower class. Despite the strife and hardship of survival, he has managed to maintain a cheery, bright disposition and will willingly help a pidge in need.
He and his closest friend, Nintendo Game Cube, run a band of thieves on the poor side of the flock. They hold their standards very high and follow a "steal from the rich and give to the poor" motto. Most of their stolen goods go to help the chicks and unfortunate pidge that have fallen on hard times.
Personality: He tends to be on the jolly side, hence his name. He loves brightly colored ribbons, charms, or anything that might be eye catching. He has sticky claws and has thrived as a thief for all of his short life and continues to do so to help provide for the poor lowerclass.
Skills: Merry comes off as the friendly and trustworthy sort, though he could rob you blind and not give it a second thought.

History: Mozilla Firefox was one of the many unfortunate chicks born on the wrong side of the tracks in Half Price's train station and had found herself abandoned at an early, early age. Fortunately for her, she had been taken in and raised up by a nanny and it was in her early seasons that she met and became best of friends with Nintendo Gamecube. Unlike him, she has no musical inclination. Instead, her art consists of fire.
Ever since she was old enough, the young Lahore was entirely facinated by the smoking Two-Legs. They had this little stick that they struck and it glowed so beautifully... Of course, then they put it to the white stick and it made this horrible smelling smoke that burned her lungs, which made watching the matches most difficult. One particular evening, she happened upon a matchbook and didn't hesitate to swipe it. She took them home and begged Nintendo to watch, so he could see the beautiful flames. She struck one of the many matches and, as she had no experience, the flames engulfed her feathers. They flared up quickly and if she hadn't thrown herself as hard as she did into the blankets that she kept in her nest, her whole wing might of been burnt to a crisp.
Instead of dying a horrible, flaming death, she found herself stuck in her nest until her flight feathers grew back. It was all rather embarassing and could of cost her her life. So what did she do now, with her lesson well learned?
She struck another match, but this time carefully. Since her rather dangerous ordeal, she has taught herself how to use the flames to her own advantage and often uses them in small, simple tricks to entertain the flock. She is a member of the band of thieves, but really does spend most of her time entertaining as a distraction for others.
Personality: Firefox is well aware of the saying curiosity killed the cat and she will promptly add that curiosity claims many pidge, as well, she almost included. Ever since she was young, she found herself drawn like a moth to flame, which is most unfortunate, seeing as feathers are highly flamable.
She is skilled in her craft, although it nearly killed her at a young age, and performs for those of high class and low, without descrimination. She tends to jump into new things with both feet and is loud, and a bit of a joker, but she isn't dumb. She would have to be quick and fast thinking to master the fire and she isn't about to let herself catch again.
Skills: She is extremely skilled with lighting matches and "breathing" fire for her pidge audiences, but she has to be extremely careful while doing it. She often serves as a distraction and performs with Nintendo, giving the other thieves the opportunity to steal from spectators.
