So i was nagged for a few months untill i got a msn, windows live thing.
So i finally did, can anyone explain to me why it's so popular?

I'm not sure... I use it occasionally, but I hate it. I'm on YIM much more often. MSN has crappy emotes. stare

I like it because of how customizable it is. I use lots of homemade emotes on it, and also, it seems to break down a lot less often than AIM does.

I think it is one of the messengers that breaks down the least...didn't think of that. YIM stops working all the time, but MSN works great with crappy internet connection.

I support Windows Live Messenger because I support Bill Gates.
Wait..... I have an iPhone 4. Am I contradicting myself? I just use it because I can sign into it and be instantly messaged by people while playing MW2 on Xbox Live. It also does have amazing server reliability like mention by other users.
