Oh. My. God.
I AM TRYING MY ABSOLUTE HARDEST FOR THE HIGHEST GRADE I CAN POSSIBLY GET! I was extremely pleased with my semester averages, but NO! He's not satisfied. He says I'm too freaking lazy and my grades are to low and he can't believe that I'm his own son. Ugh. And here are my semester averages:
Science: 95
Spanish: 98
English: 95
History: 98
20th Century: 96
Speech: 96
Algebra: 94
I'm so pissed. He should sure as hell know that I'm trying my best. I spent so many nights up late doing extra credit just to bring my grades up higher by a few points and he goes off saying that I'm too lazy and stupid.

Dude, you're lowest mark is a 94, he's obviously got his head up his a** if he thinks that you could have gotten a mark like that in anything and been lazy at the same time. I would kill for the marks your getting, especially now that I'm in university. He's probably just trying to use negative reinforcement to motivate you or something gay like that.

Tell him that grades don't measure intelligence, so intelligence isn't necessarily valued in the course of education. Intelligence doesn't seem to play the greatest part in the world today, so as long as you can manage to get your high school grades to be and stay high for those four years, you'll make it into a fine college as long as you can still pay for it. :B I think I disgressed somewars in thar.

Conclusion: Subject is irrational and should not be taken overly seriously. Eat a cookie and pat yourself on the back for working your buns off.

my mom did that to me for a while. Eventually I just stoped trying, because if when I did try and she yelled at me what was the point? Might as well do nothing and get the same reaction.

I'm not a superhuman like YOU think you are! scream Or they go off on how they didn't have this and that back in Vietnam and how hard they work for their children (my parents said that last night and it was totally irrelevant to the subject being argued). And then they'll beat you for backsass...

But, you know, if I got those kinds of marks, I'd have my PSP back and would be going downtown with my friend to get McDonalds afterschool tommorrow instead of waiting for my brother to finish his final.
