Is it safe to ask if anyone is somewhat intrigued by the authenticity within the tales of Camp Half-Blood, themselves?

I wonder if Riordan has read the works of Geoffery of Monmouth, himself, as of yet?
Because his works are starting to read like the tale of Brutus of Britain, who of course was a grandson or great-grandson of Aeneas of Troy, Aphrodite's prototype demigod child and the half-brother to the Aphrodite Cabin.
