lilacluva05 well, i heard somewhere that like every time you drink alcohol a few brain cells die... or something like that... Oh, a few thousand I don't doubt. Along with a few thousand liver, kidney, lung, heart and other muscle cells. I would actualy say that a day where you drink properly would just about double the amount. See, you are losing brain cells constantly. The things die all the time. Every time you nod your head. There is nothing you can do to stop it. OK, drinking kills them a lot faster than most things, but the main risk is from drinking far too much or in a way that causes more permanant damage. Brain swelling from dehydration (caused by alcohol poisoning) is far more dangerous, and a good reason for people who don't drink much to stick to low volume drinks and to have a lot of water as well. Drinking isn't good for you really, but is something that is enjoyable if done responcibly, and has minimal risks unless you lose control or don't know what you are doing. Drinking to get drunk is just foolish, but social drinking makes for some great nights out. I should share some stories... but not all will be to your tastes.

I grew up with my dad drinking the occassional beer. I am not against drinking, but, as the Bible says, drinking to excess (drunkeness) is wrong. I personally do not like the taste of beer, I like champagne and some other drinks but I rarely drink. I've never tested my limits nor ever intend to. I see it as a waste of money. You enjoy the taste, that's good, but there are other drinks you can enjoy without chancing any possibly life threatening side effects.
I may have the occassional drink during Christmas and New Year's but it takes me forever just to finish one. I'd rather not make it a habit or hobby because I know that no one is perfect. At some point, everyone's will power will break down, maybe only a little, and that could lead to a bad experience. It may not, but, that doesn't negate the other.
That's how I feel.

right... and also... Proverbs 20 1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is enraging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. God knows alcohol is addicting He knows too much of it is bad for you... so He warns us of it.

Never try whiskey then go for vodka. Do so and you''ll get a hangover that will last 2 to 3 days.

Guitarhero356 No, I did. It was just my first time with the harder liqour, so that could have bee it too. Yeah, first times can be interesting. I have been drinking whiskey myself for well over a year and a half, and it is only in the last few months that I can seriously say that its effect has reduced somewhat. Vodka has always been kinder to me, at least in the morning. It hits hard and fast when drinking it though, so not a good idea for beginers. I would say stay off the hard stuff altogether at least till you can handle a few pints of lager or real beer (ie, European, not American) without too many ill effects. Anyway, at the moment I don't need booze to mess my head up. I'm starting a new thread to discuss what is going on in my life at the moment.

 the only picture of me on the comp rite now. thats from the summer. im about 2 and 1/2 inches taller now. thats my big buff bro in the background. excuse the lack of tan on my stomak. it was the begining of summer. and it was very very hot in there.
