Okay so I've seen alot of beginner role players
and I figured, why not give them advice to be an expert?
So. I will give the basics of "setting the mood" and making
it more exciting to talk too you. : D I'll try not to make it long. >_<

Rule 1: Different ways to type & colors.

Alright. This rule is about changing the color of the text.
Making the sizes bigger or smaller. Using bold, italic, and
underlining text. Doing this stuff can make you seem more
professional. That's why I use it. c:

Changing text sizes:
Text.

You pick any size. 1 being the smallest. & 29 the
largest. I usually use size 10. I don't like big text. >__<

Changing text colors:
Text.

Okay so this one is fun. c: I enjoy changing text colors. But
to many different colors while your rping is ugly and annoying.
If you need a more open variety of colors click this. -> Colors.

Aligning text:
Text.

Okay so I use this all the time. It definitly makes everything
more professional to me. Theirs different ways you can align
your text. You can align it left, right, and center. I prefer
using center though.

Italics, bold, and underlining:
Text.

I always like to bold my text when someone is talking. It
makes the words pop out more. And it's easier noticing what
someone is saying. So try it! : D

Text.

Italics are usually meant for thoughts in a characters head.
Like "Oh this university is so awesome." So use it for thoughts
in your characters head.

Text.

Okay so underlining, I usually don't use. And most role players
don't use it either. Cause you don't really have anything to
underline. But it's your way. So think of a cool way to use it.

So that's pretty much everything about Rule 1. I hope this
helps alot of you beginner role players. Now it's on for Rule
number 2!

Okai doki. I hope you guys liked my Rule 1
help for beginners. Now Rule 2 will be more about using bigger
words and making a better conversation. Even making a little
fling with your lover. ;D This one won't be very long though.

Rule 2: Making conversation.

Okay so we all want to find love or make friends here
right? But you can't think of what to say or do? This happened
to me when I first started role playing awhile ago.

Greetings:
When first meeting someone. As in a boy & a girl. It really
depends on your characters personality. If you wanna be
the mysterious bad boy, I'd suggest not saying much and doing
more. Even if it's just something random & you guys have
nothing to say. Ask a random question or do something random.

Example: Hakidoshi bumps into Takim accidentally.
"Oh. I'm sorry. I'm kinda in a rush." He holds his hand
out to Takim.

Takim looks up at him and takes his hand firmly. Stumbling back
to her feet. "O-oh, it's no biggy." She brushes her dress
off.
____________________________________________________

That would be a perfect start off for a conversation. But that
doesn't mean bump into everyone. >___< Now, to show your
interested in the person, try asking them if you wanna go
some place else.

Example:"Hey I was about to head too Starbucks."
He looks at her for a second then points in the direction of Starbucks.
"You wanna come?" Hakidoshi asks.

"Oh, well... Uhm sure." Takim says with a smile.

____________________________________________________

Okay so once you got this far into a conversation, it's time to
start asking questions like "What's your name?" and "Are you
new?" These are the questions that will help you make new
friends. Or a lover.<3

Example:Hakidoshi hands her the hot chocolate she asked for.
"You gotta wait a bit so it'll cool off."

"Mhm, thank you. She smiles at him and blows on the drink.
"So what's your name?" Takim asks, still blowing the hot steam away.

"Hakidoshi. Hakim if you don't wanna say the whole thing... What about yourself?"
He asks. Watching the steam rise up into the air.

"Takim. Takim Sorato. It's very nice to meet you Hakim."
She takes a sip of the hot chocolate.

"As well. That's a very cute name for a cute girl." He says.

-It's usually best to compliment them AFTER they say they're name.

Bigger words:
It's always best to elaborate more and use bigger words.
Bigger words means bigger conversations. So here are a few
bigger and better words to use then small simple ones.

prevail: to ascend through superiority
exquisite: satisfying because of fineness
elusive: momentary, passing
resplendent: shining brilliantly
__________________________________

Big: Massive
Small: Minuscule
Strange: Peculiar
Fat: Corpulent
Funny: Amusing
Calm: Placid
Nervous: Jittery
Bad: Terrible
Happy: Jubilant
Sad: Sorrowful
Tired: Fatigued
Interesting: Fascinating
Lucky: Fortunate

Character pictures:

Okay so I expect ALL of you to post a picture of your character
EVERY time you talk. We all need to know how your character
looks. And it's hard to tell if you don't post it while talking. I do
not want to look back at the character profiles to see your
character. It is to much to do. And DO NOT use Tinypic codes
cause the pictures don't come up. The best solution to finding
pictures for your character is Photobucket. Photobucket
has a very open variety of anime pictures. From guys to girls.
Nekos to demons. It's all there. And if you don't know what to
type in the Search box on Photobucket.com try words like:
Cute anime girl.
Hot anime guy.
Neko anime girl.
Neko anime guy.
Demon anime girl.
Demon anime guy.
Red hair anime girl.
Red hair anime guy.

And ect. You will have tons of choices to pick from so I expect
your characters to have pictures. ALL the time. No excuses.
So I hope Rule 2 helped. Along with Rule 1. And hopefully you
beginners learned alot and can be better. ^___^ If you guys
still need help on stuff, just PM me and I'll get to it.
